Jeep Cj7 For Sale (renegade) on 2040-cars
Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States
I purchased this in 2002 from an owner who performed a frame off rebuilt in 2000. I have driven it as a summer vehicle since 2002 putting less than 2k miles on it a year. The restoration rebuilt all of the mechanical parts and sealed the frame with POR15 to prevent rust. Ive been making cosmetic upgrades since I bought it. It had a new paint job in 2002. It has all stainless hardware, any metal hardware that isnt stainless was powder coated. The dash and glove box are also powder coated. It has an upgraded premium sound system with a 2-way amp powering 2 10" subs and a 4-way amp powering the 4 speakers. I replaced the valve cover and seal. I had a custom KC daylighter 3 light mount fabricated for $1500 and then I installed the 3 KC daylighters. I have replaced all of the wiring and added a tachometer. Millage is 1159403, but it has less than 40k miles on the rebuild. The jeep comes with the original hard top and doors. I've never driving it with the doors or hardtop on. I only put them on when I store the Jeep for the winter. The passenger door is damaged, but functional. I never replaced it because I never used it on the Jeep. Jeep is sold as is, buyer is welcome to inspect the vehicle. |

Chrysler taking big risk snubbing NHTSA
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Maker Insists Feds Overstate Risk Of Fires With Grand Cherokee, Liberty Models
It's not often that recall stories make it above the fold, in that old newspaper parlance, but when one shows up as the lead story on the network evening news programs, you know it's something big.
And so it is with Chrysler snubbing its nose at a request by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 2.7 million Jeeps the feds insist are at risk of potentially catastrophic fuel tank fires in a rear-end collision.
Six 'shut up and take my money' cars
Tue, 11 Nov 2014Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
Jeep Renegade pricing to start at $18,595?
Fri, 14 Mar 2014While there's no shortage of excitement surrounding the new Jeep Renegade, one of the limiting factors to the little trucklet will be its price. With the Kia Soul starting at $14,900 and the Nissan Juke kicking off at $18,990, the Renegade can't afford to stray away from that price bracket.
And judging by some potentially leaked pricing info, it won't. A quick Google search of "Jeep Renegade Price" reveals (at least for now) that the Italian-built Jeep will start at $18,595. The "as shown" price of $25,895 seems to indicate the Trailhawk model shown on Jeep's consumer page.
If the $18,595 figure is correct, it's likely for the base, two-wheel-drive Sport model, with the Latitude and Limited trims falling somewhere between there and the $25,895 as-equipped price of the Trailhawk.
