But the car has never been in an accident so no serious damage."

I love this car, but I'm going to be out of new york for the winters now, so I can get a regular sedan.

My add-ons to this 'patriot sport' are a sunroof and heated seats. I bought this car because it drives beautifully in bad weather, was very customizeable, and is camping friendly with a roomy trunk, a regular 'wall' outlet as well as regular car outlets, under-the seat storage, nice sound system with aux outlet for ipod, a holder for the ipod, and you can pop the inside light out to become a flashlight. This is a fun car! And it's not too heavy, not bad on gas (4 cylinder 2.4L) and has never given me any trouble.

I have all the history documented. Brakes are good, tires are good. I have always maintained it well and changed oil promptly every 3,000 miles. I'm the first and only owner, it is completely paid off. It is parked every night in a private driveway. The car has never been in an accident.

This car is one of the smaller jeeps, but its comfortable and family friendly. Winter friendly too with the heated seats and 4WD. I am not a smoker so no need to worry about any lingering odors. The fabric of the seats is great too- anything you spill rolls right off. Color of the car is called 'steel blue'

Chrysler recalls 468,700 Jeep Grand Cherokees, Commanders over rollaway risk

Mon, 13 May 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall covering a combined 469,000 units of the 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2006-2010 Jeep Commander (inset). Of that number, 295,000 are in the US, roughly 33,000 in Canada and Mexico and the remainder in other markets. It seems an electrical fault in the transfer case can allow the affected SUVs to shift into neutral on their own, while an Associated Press report says that Chrysler had "found cracks in a circuit board that turns the four-wheel-drive system on and off." The issue was discovered when an owner started his car remotely and it rolled away.
Chrysler is expected to begin notifying owners in June 2013, who can then take their cars to dealers. The dealer will reflash the final drive controller free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.

Another crazy custom Jeep Wrangler spotted in Morocco

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

What in the world is the vehicle you see above? Well, um... yeah. We have no idea. According to the video description from YouTube, however, it's a modified Jeep Wrangler, and it comes from the same person who created the equally insane side-by-side merged Wrangler you saw here.
We can clearly make out the Wrangler-shaped passenger compartment up top, but as for the other bits and pieces that make up this rather amazing machine, your guess is as good as ours. At the very least, it seems to us that the car's wheelbase has been given a significant stretch, and the grille may have come from an International LoneStar Harley-Davidson Special Edition semi truck.
What other components are sourced from the massive International hauler? No idea. We suggest you check out the video below and draw your own conclusions. Oh, and if you've got any other ideas, feel free to let us know in the Comments.

2015 Jeep Cherokee finds a bit more fuel mileage thanks to stop/start and aero tweaks

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Just a year after it burst onto the scene, Jeep has already made a pretty substantial addition to its V6-powered Cherokee, which has proven to be an extremely popular seller so far for the brand, adding a new stop-start system for the midsize, off-road-ready CUV.
The addition of stop-start included a few aerodynamic tweaks to the Cherokee's polarizing body, resulting in a wallet-pleasing increase in fuel economy. According to the EPA, the front-drive, V6-powered Jeep will now return 21 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, up from 19 city and 28 highway. Four-wheel-drive, V6-powered Cherokees, meanwhile, will now return 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, up from 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg.
With 271 horsepower, 239 pound-feet of torque and these newly enhanced figures, it's refreshing to see a larger, naturally aspirated engine that is still able to take the fight to today's crop of small-displacement, turbocharged four-cylinders.
