One of the best CJ7's available.  1984 CJ7 Renegade fitted with a 302 Ford V8, with Edelbrock carb and intake. 4 speed manual transmission. Jeep has a custom paint job completed in 2004 by the previous owner from Meridian Mississippi to match his custom motor coach.

Engine and engine bay were pulled, sand blasted and painted 1 year ago while replacing the flywheel and clutch as part of normal maintenance.  New plugs, wires and general tune up completed as part of the carburetor replacement during this same time.

There are 3 different top configurations for this Jeep.  Bikini top, Best Top Brand soft top and Best Top hard top, with factory tint, carpet lined and dome light.  There are 2 set of doors for this Jeep, Full original hard doors and half doors with upper canvas halves.

Smittybilt front and rear chrome bumper and Nerf Bars with additional chrome and aluminum trim details on dash and door molding.  Lockable center console and rear wheel well storage components.  Best Top Brand front seats and Best Top Brand fold and tumble rear seat with seat belts front and rear.

Jeep has Air Conditioning, fully sprayed in bedliner from firewall to rear tailgate and full carpet.

Tires are BF Goodrich TA Radials, 31x10.50 R15, with Mickey Thompson Bullet Alloys (5th tire is standard spare with cover)

I have owned this Jeep since late 2003 and have thoroughly enjoyed it.  I have only taken it off road to exercise the 4x4 components as its simply to clean of a Jeep to put in the mud.  It's been a 3rd vehicle for our family and used on the weekends for errands and my enjoyment.  I invite you to take a look at the photos.  The only things better is to see it in person and listen to the V8 run.

If you have questions, please feel free to email me at ryanpahlow@gmail.com I want to make sure it goes to the right next owner that will enjoy it for many years to come.

Some Jeep Cherokees and Chrysler 200s to get standard stop-start in 2015

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Automakers the world over are striving to find ways to make their models more efficient, and Chrysler has a solution for some versions of the 2015 Chrysler 200 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee (2014 model shown). The Tigershark 2.4-liter four-cylinder in the 200 and the 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 in the Cherokee are getting a slight boost later this year thanks to the addition of Chrysler's Engine Stop-Start system as standard equipment. The company predicts modest gains - a three-percent improvement in fuel economy and a three percent reduction in CO2 emissions with the new tech compared to without it. While it's not much, those who sit in traffic a lot may see a difference.
Chrysler's stop/start system uses a high-speed starter motor to restart the vehicle in a claimed a third of a second. It works by detecting when the vehicle comes to a stop and turning off the engine. A more powerful battery maintains all of the model's accessories while it sits. When the driver lets off the brake, the car starts up again to drive away. There is even a button in the cabin to turn the ESS off, if desired.
The Jeep will be the first to receive ESS in the third quarter of this year to coincide with the start of production of the 2015 model-year version. The 200 will follow in the fourth quarter as a rolling change in production.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."

GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.
