Immaculate 1986 Jeep CJ7 with a just completed frame on restoration. This Jeep had the original paint up until 1 month ago when a frame on restoration was done. The Jeep was a California Jeep and was very solid with no body damage and virtually no rust. The frame is perfect, NO RUST AT ALL. I have had this Jeep tagged and on the road for several months and used it as a daily driver before the paint/resto and have driven it a couple of times since then. I get compliments everytime I drive it, because you just don't see that many CJ7's in this good a condition on the road everyday. It runs great, has good tight steering, good power disc brakes on the front and drums on the back in good working order. It has a 5-speed manual transmission that works smooth with no problems. The manual hubs, 4-wheel drive and transfer case are all in good working order with no problems. I have had this Jeep out on some main highways at 65 mph and it does not wander, shimmy, shake, pull or any of the myths with CJ Jeeps. It goes straight and you can drive with one hand on the wheel. It has a long list of new parts on this Jeep that include the paint, 31X10.50x15 all terrain tires, bikini top, manual gauges, fuel sending unit, front seats, mats, tail-light assemblies, park lights, stainless hood hinges, tail-gate hinges, windshield hinges, mirrors, hood catches, hood decals, cowl vent, windshield to cowl weatherstripping, plugs, battery, oil change, filter, service, fender flares, fuel gauge, clutch, pressure plate, release bearing and pilot bearing, u-joints ......I may have missed something else.....its had a lot of money spent on it and needs very little more. This is a good, smooth running Jeep with a slick factory Red paint job that turns heads everytime its driven. It has a current Virginia state inspection (July 2014) and is ready to be driven. All the seat-belts are in the Jeep also. I would not be afraid to start anywhere on this Jeep, it is that smooth. Winning bidder can come pay for the Jeep, bring a tag and drive it home. I have a clear Virginia title in my name ready to go. I have a bikini top only for the Jeep, but have ALL the hardware for a soft top, a set of full soft doors and a set of black safari doors go with the Jeep also. I have a full 5-piece black carpet set that goes with the Jeep. I did not put it in because I had rather have the ability to pull the plugs and wash it out rather than vacuum carpet, which holds moisture and causes rust. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee pricing leaks out
Thu, 24 Jan 2013With our deep dive and auto show coverage of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee revealed at the Detroit Auto Show, we brought you as much information as Chrysler would allow us to, but one thing we're still left in the dark about was the pricing. It would seem that Jeep Garage might have the answer for that. The Jeep enthusiast forum claims to have gotten its hands on the ordering and pricing breakdown for the updated Grand Cherokee, and while a Jeep representative has yet to get back to us as to the validity of the site's claim, these preliminary numbers look pretty kosher to us.
In base form, the two-wheel-drive Laredo will reportedly start at $28,795, which is a $1,100 increase over the 2013 model year, and the new Grand Cherokee Summit trim level starts at $47,995 for 4x2 models and $50,995 for the 4x4. Waiting for the new diesel engine? The torquey new 3.0-liter oil-burner will be a $4,500 option on Limited, Overland and Summit 4x4 models, but 4x2 pricing (and availability) are not known. As for the range-topping Grand Cherokee SRT (no longer called the SRT8), this added performance could run you an extra $2,700 with a new starting price of $62,995. More importantly, loaded to the gills with all available options, the 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT will top out at around $72,400 - or around $6,000 more than a fully loaded 2013 GC SRT8.

Jeep Cherokee finally dealer-bound
Tue, 22 Oct 2013We had our First Drive of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee last month, but it appears that prospective buyers won't have too much longer to finally get time behind the wheel of the new small Jeep.
Automotive News is reporting that after a two-month delay, Jeep dealers will finally start receiving their first shipments of the new Cherokee, in the next 10 days. A Chrysler spokesperson confirmed to Autoblog that the Cherokee is indeed on its way to Jeep dealers.
According to AN, about 23,000 Cherokees have been built since production commenced back in June, but potential powertrain issues forced Jeep to make adjustments to the Cherokee along the way. Automotive News says that in order to make sure there are no issues with the Cherokee before it reaches customers, it is testing each vehicle after it rolls off the assembly line at a rented test track near the vehicle's Toledo North Assembly Plant.
Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014
Wed, 03 Jul 2013We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
