You are bidding on a 1989 Jeep Wrangler with a CJ front end. Chevy 350 crate motor 300+ HP, Weland aluminum intake manifold, Holley 600 carb with electric choke,New aluminum radiator, electric fan, Turbo 400 transmission, Moroso transmission oil cooler, NP 205 transfer case with new seals, 3" exhaust with single chamber flowmasters, Dana 60 front end with warn locking hubs and 513 gears and new pinion seal. 14 bolt rear end with detroit locker and 513 gears. 44 inch super swampers mounted on 16.5 x 14 Weld Wheels. Flush mount tailights. 4" springs on top of the axles. 3" body lift. Extended shackles.Reverse shackles on the front springs. New Bestop front seats. New power steering pump. New radiator hoses and thermostat. New dual steering stabilizer on the front. New urethane leaf spring and shackle bushings. The jeep has a clear TN title and is titled as a 1969 jeep wrangler because of emissions and the CJ front end. It has a state of Colorado assigned vehicle number tag stamped on the firewall as the vin #. It still has the 1989 YJ vin # above the dash if anyone wants to change the title to a 1989 in a state where emissions aren't an issue.The jeep is street legal. Brake lights and turn signals work. The jeep needs a new windshield cowl seal and body mounts and shock bushings are worn out. I have a new seal and new urethane body mounts but just haven't installed them yet. Jeep sets all-time sales record in 2012
Wed, 09 Jan 2013Last year was good to Jeep. Chrysler has announced its trail-rated brand set an all-time global sales record in 2012 by moving 701,626 units. That number easily surpasses the previous record set in 1999 when Jeep sold 675,494 models. All told, the brand saw a 19-percent sales increase worldwide over 2011, and much of that swell can be traced directly to the Wrangler. While the Grand Cherokee led Jeep sales, the Wrangler posted record numbers both globally and within the US, moving 194,142 and 141,669 units in each market, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Compass beat its previous global sales record with 103,321 units rolling off of dealer lots. In the US, Jeep sold 62,010 Patriot units, breaking that model's previous record as well. Jeep's impressive performance in 2012 marks the second year in a row the brand has seen double-digit percentage sales increases. Check out the full press release below.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage
Mon, 14 Jan 2013This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.
