1973 Lamborghini Espada Series 3 Very Nice Low Mile Example on 2040-cars
Gaylordsville, Connecticut, United States
1973 Lamborghini Espada Series 3 with power steering. Luci di Bosco with Verde interior. Very low mile car with only 20,000 miles. I have known this car for many years, this will be the third time I have sold this car, the last owner/enthusiast has had it over a decade and he carefully preserved it while making sure to regularly drive the car. There is an extensive service history documenting the care that was given to this car. It runs and drives very nicely! With the exception of the small dent the driver side front nose and the crack in the windshield(the car comes with a brand new in the box proper windshield), I would say this car is in excellent original type condition look carefully at the photos of the interior to see what I am talking about. This is the most desirable configuration of the Espada with the power steering and before they put on the ugly rubber bumpers. The color scheme on this car works, it is striking in person! If you want a great Espada this is one to seriously consider, these are great road cars, you can fit 4 adults in them and they make one of the sweetest engine sounds in the car world. If you have questions you can reach me thru ebay or call 860-350-1140. I have page with many additional photos forzamotorsports with the usual com ending. Buyer pays shipping. International buyers welcome. I can help set up shipping but you must pay for it. Thank you for looking at my listing. |

Lamborghini Cabrera spotted, ready to fill Gallardo shoes
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Facebook user Marchettino (already a minor YouTube celebrity for his supercars channel) spotted the successor to the Lamborghini Gallardo throne out and about on public streets and was kind enough to snap a few photos of the machine. Word has it that a concept car precursor to the newest supercar will bow at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show this September under the Cabrera name. As you've likely already heard, the model is said to ride on the second-generation Audi R8 platform, complete with a composite aluminum and carbon fiber construction to reduce weight as much as possible. How light will will the Cabrera be? Lamborghini is reportedly shooting for a curb weight of around 3,300 pounds.
Power will likely come from a massaged version of the 5.2-liter V10 in the current Gallardo. Expect around 600 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
The vehicle in these photos looks to have abandoned some of the Gallardo's angles in favor or more organic lines, though it's possible body cladding is hiding the car's true design. Murcielago SV-style sills and side air intakes serve up quite a bit of aggression and the quad exhaust looks properly menacing as well. We can't wait to see the finished product.
Wild one-off Lamborghini Sogna for sale at $3M [w/videos]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The Lamborghini Countach was the dream car for many teens and pre-teens in the 1980s, but at least one Japanese man thought there was room for improvement. As the story goes, Ryoji Yamazaki had a dream of a supercar as a 13-year-old, and at the age of 41, he used his design studio, Art & Tech, to create the Sogna in 1991.
Yamazaki unveiled the Sogna at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show as a rebodied Countach with intentions of selling it in limited production, but thankfully - or sadly, depending how you look at it - the $1.6 million (1991 price) coachbuilt supercar never made it into production. The Geneva show car was a rolling chassis, and the only other example that was produced was a fully operational version, shown above, which was unveiled at the 1994 Essen Motor Show. This car from Essen is now listed for sale on James Edition for 2.38 million euros, or around $3.25 million USD.
With its oddball styling and kiwi green paint, the Sogna was likely doomed from the start, but it still boasts the Countach's full powertrain including the 448-horsepower, 5.2-liter V12 and a claimed top speed of 186 miles per hour. Check out more images of the 1994 Sogna at James Edition and Enmann, and we also found a couple videos, which are posted below, of the car's early development.
Chinese patent filing may mean Lamborghini Urus closer to production
Sun, 17 Feb 2013The Urus SUV still hasn't received the official green light for production, but that hasn't stopped Lamborghini from protecting its performance crossover in the land of stolen vehicle designs. These patent drawings submitted in China show what appear to be the Urus in the same concept form that we first saw last year at the Beijing Motor Show.
Last we heard, the Volkswagen Group had put development of the Urus on hold even though, more recently, the Bentley EXP 9 F (aka, the Falcon) has reportedly been given the nod. Although the existence of these patent images don't necessarily mean the Urus is going into production, they are at least another excuse to debate the SUV's stealth-bomber-style lines.
