1994 Land Rover Discovery, 3.9 v8, 4x4, auto, 7 seats. Clean OR title in hand. 191k miles. Starts, runs, drives, stops. Transfer case works and shifts just fine, as does transmission. This was my daily driver for a while, but it's now been replaced with a 5-speed Discovery.. so this one's just kinda sitting right in the driveway right now. It drives just fine, has good tires, and doesn't run hot - nor is there any evidence it ever has. I'm not entirely sure why the hood is black - but when I first became aware of this car in 2010 it was fitted with a roof rack with truly huge spotlights on it. I purchased it around 18 months ago when my (now sadly deceased) Range Rover blew a gasket. It was originally an Arizona car, but it's been here in sunny Oregon since 1999.
Good bits - A/C, heater, rear air all work without leaks. Towing kit and electrics fitted. In the last six months - new battery, water pump, brake master cylinder, and fuel pump. No fault lights or codes. Paintwork is pretty good - it's shiny with no major marks. No rust anywhere. Sunroofs don't leak - but they don't open either. The (kinda rare) cloth seats are in good condition and have no rips or tears. Fluids changed ~250 miles ago.
Bad bits - Windshield has crack running across width.. Airbag warning light is flashing on dash - it came on after the battery was replaced. Tags are expired. It ticks for a few seconds on cold start, but this goes away when warm.
Car is located in Saint Helens, OR - about 20 miles NW of Portland. I require a deposit within 48 hours of listing end, and the balance within seven days. I'm happy to store the car for long if needed - provided it's paid for. I'm also happy to assist with shipping.
Thanks for reading!

Yes.. I know there's a bunch of photos on there twice. eBay won't allow me to remove the duplicate photos, and I can't add more than 24 in total. If you'd like to see specific (large) photos of anything, let me know. :)

Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.
This Or That: 1987 VW Vanagon Syncro vs. 1987 Land Rover Defender [w/poll]
Thu, 13 Nov 2014As I scoured auction sites and classified ads for the perfect vehicle to take into battle with Autoblog Associate Editor Brandon Turkus, I knew I needed to find something unique. You see, I'm currently 0-2 at winning a round of This or That, in which two of our editors agree on a category, choose a side, and argue it out over a (mostly) friendly chain of emails.
The first time we did this, my chosen Fiat 500 Abarth took about a third of the popular vote in our reader poll. The second time, my lovely 1980 Oldsmobile 442 did just a little bit better against a 1989 BMW 635 CSi. Despite holding the opinion that my automotive choices, though perhaps a little bit more... obscure than my fellow editors, are still better, an outright win would go a long way toward boosting my vehicular self worth a few notches upward.
With all of that out of the way, even if three isn't my lucky number after all, I go into battle against Brandon knowing full well that I've made the perfect choice: A 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro. My rough-and-tumble van/'ute has a formidable opponent in the form of a 1987 Land Rover Defender, which, truth be told, is exactly what I was expecting from Turkus, a self-proclaimed Rover aficionado.
Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.
