I bought this vehicle to drive during the winter.When I test drove it I found it had a bad miss but it ran good around town and missed at idle and some at highway speeds.I have put new plugs and another coil pack on it.The previous owner said it had been sitting for a long period of time which is evident by the dried sidewalls on the tires and the discoloration of the dash.The tires have great tread on them and I drive it now. My guess is the fuel injectors may be clogged up due to sitting for so long. I have recently had trouble with the vehicle starting only when it wants to. Some days it will start when I want and sometimes it wont start.

The headliner needs works due to sagging and sitting in the sun and the rear right pass window could use a window regulator.The seats and carpet are in very good shape and it has factory floor mats.The interior needs some parts fixed to be perfect but you could get them from the scrap yard or e-bay for not much money. The interior parts are mainly cracked plastic parts and the fan switch is stuck and will not blow.

The body is in excellent shape with no rust and only two small dings.The paint is faded on top and on top of window sills but it still looks good.

I want to sell this vehicle to get enough money to by a truck to haul my canoes around in. I think someone with a little mechanical ability could have this vehicle running good and sort out the interior stuff pretty cheap.I have tried to be honest and disclose any problems I can think of at this time.Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.This is a seven passenger vehicle.

Jaguar Land Rover building new R&D center for hybrids, EVs, autonomous cars

The success of Jaguar Land Rover in recent years has largely been down to a resurgent product lineup, but a recent move into the research and development will see the British-based, Indian-owned brands take the fight to its German rivals more aggressively than ever before.
JLR is investing 50 million pounds ($80,345,000, as of this writing) in a joint R&D center in central England. The move will more than triple its staff dedicated to research, from 150 to 500, with Wolfgang Epple, JLR's Director of Research and Technology telling Automotive News Europe, "In order to play among the big animals in automotive and to be anchored in the mind of customers you have to have offered something unique, to be first in market. We want to be one of the key premier automotive manufacturers."
Jaguar Land Rover's 50-million-pound contribution represents more than half of the 94-million-pound tab, on the so-called National Automotive Innovation Campus. Based at Warwick University, Tata's European Technical Center, Warwick Manufacturing Group and the Higher Education Funding Council, an agency of the British government, are all chipping in for the facility.

Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.

It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.
