2000 Range Rover Discovery

This Disco is in White Gold color with beige leather interior with dark brown piping. The interior is in good shage, seats and panels are great for their age and wear.  The headliner will need to be replaced at some point. The foam backing behind the material has deteriated and is sagging in places.  Not uncommon for a vehicle this age.  The drivers side window motor does not work and will need replacing.  The passenger side door lock has a sticky actuator.  Otherwise the interior just needs another good cleaning and it in as good of shape as you could expect from a vehicle of this age and use.

The exterior of the truck has some minor accident damage to the front passanger side as evidenced in the photographs.  All of the damage it cosmetic.  NO frame damage.  The paint is in good shape for its age with only minor blemishes expected with a vehicle this age.

Mechanically the vehicle is in good shape. However it will need a little attention.  It recently had the top end rebuilt ( head job) at a very dependable local shop. Paperwork is available. It currently has a vaccum leak that i havent tracked down yet and will need a new ball joints all around as well.

Cosmetically the vehicle has new Bridgestone Dueler AT's all around and blacked out original weels.  Brand new window tint all around.  Truck looks good and is a little bit of love away from being back in businees as a great dependable Disco.

The Disco is located in Greenville NC with my son.  I myself own a Range Rover 4.6 (P38).  Range rovers are great vehicles despite what many seem to say about them.  This vehile has had a reasonable amout of work done to it mechanically and consemetically.  I live in Dallas TX and dont have the time to spend buttoning it up for my son.  We are reluctantly selling the Disco after putting so much time and energy into it.  Expect it to have a good home.

Please look a the pictures and respond with any questions.

Thanks

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.

Jaguar Land Rover building new Special Vehicle Operations facility

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.

Brabus takes on Range Rover Sport with Startech widebody kit

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Of all the tuners this side of AMG, none are as close to Mercedes-Benz as Brabus. After all, when Daimler needed a tuner to spruce up the Smart car, it was Brabus that it turned to. But Brabus tunes vehicles other than Mercedes - it just uses, let's call it, a pen name. It brands them Startech, like the widebody kit it's developed for the new Range Rover Sport and will present at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The modifications center around the carbon fiber body panels Brabus (excuse us, Startech) has developed for the British sport-ute that give it over two inches of added width. The wider fender flares encompass 23-inch wheels that are forged, ceramic-coated, skinned with low-profile rubber and fitted to a lowered suspension. The front and rear bumpers have been redone in plastic and can be fitted with or without the wider fenders, and there's a three-piece roof spoiler at the back.
Startech is also offering an upgrade for the 3.0-liter twin-turbo-diesel V6 that squeezes out an extra 31 horsepower and 59 pound-feet of torque for a total of 323 hp and 501 lb-ft, dropping the 0-62 time from 7.2 seconds to 6.9. The German tuner also has a wide array of interior modifications on offer, details of which you can read about in the press release below and scope out in the high-resolution image gallery above.
