I have looked for a long time to find one of these trucks in this condition,i bought it because of it been garage kept and same owner for many years.The bottom line is my 16 year old wrecked his car last friday and this truck sale will pay for it.As you can see the truck is in super nice shape with no dents,damage or rust on the body frame or chaises .A/C, heat , transmission and 4 wheel drive work great,engine runs fine also from what i can tell.( no drips or funny noises ).Even though the truck has 228k on it,you would never know it.Tires and breaks are in great shape so is interior with only 2 bad spots on the drivers seat.For the Bad.I bought this truck with the knowledge that the radiator needs replacing, as it has two leaks which was caused by a faulty thermostat,there is also a dent on the front bumper and the check engine light came on from the radiator when the antifreeze ran low.Well with all that been said the truck will be sold AS IS and should not be driven until radiator is changed to avoid any damage.The reserve will be set low so it will make this truck well worth investing a little time,money,and elbow grease into.Ask all questions b4 auction ends,not afterwards.Bid to win and good luck.There will be a $500 deposit due via paypal or cashiers check within 48hrs of auction ends. BMW-Toyota partnership to spawn hybrid supercar
Wed, 06 Nov 2013BMW and Toyota inked a partnership some time ago to develop green technology, and while we were excited by the idea of a reborn Supra with BMW's carbon fiber reinforced plastic slashing the curb weight or an ultra-efficient, hybridized 1 Series, the joint efforts have been rather limited. That's set to change, though, according to a report from Australia.
Motoring reports that the partners have come to terms on a sports car. And not just any sports car, but a lightweight, hybridized model, with a six-figure price tag. Lending a bit of street cred to that idea is the site's claim that Toyota is currently carrying out durability testing on the BMW i8. According to the site, the new model will slot into the spot left by the Lexus LFA, although based on the language used, it's unclear if this is the Tokyo-bound vehicle we mentioned several months ago.
Details on this potential car are limited, although Motoring claims it will use a Toyota hybrid system mated up to a BMW gas engine - likely the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 found in the M5 and M6. That sounds pretty amazing to us, but we'd still advise taking this with a grain of salt. What would you like to see out of a joint-venture supercar from Toyota and BMW? Lexus fans vote Solar Flare for new RC F hue
Wed, 18 Jun 2014What's in a name? When it comes to model nameplates, quite a lot, and automakers go to considerable lengths to find just the right one. Same goes for the names of the colors in the catalog (save for maybe the Rape Yellow in the extensive Bugatti palette), but every once in a while, an automaker will open it up for suggestions from the public.
SRT did that when it introduced a new shade of blue for its Viper, as did Chevy for the pale green on the Volt. And last month, Lexus followed a similar path when it asked fans on Facebook to come up with a name for the new shade of orange for the RC F.
Fans suggested names like Tangerine Flame, Outrageous Orange and Fiery Orange, but ultimately the winning submission that Lexus selected was Solar Flare. The name was suggested by five individuals and will now enter the catalog of colors for the new luxury muscle coupe with its 450-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
'Next Lexus F' teased ahead of Detroit debut
Mon, 09 Dec 2013We've got absolutely zero actual information from the automaker on what its "Next Lexus F" will be, other than what was just released today in this brief press release and lone teaser image, but our best guess is that it's the next-generation IS-F sedan. The timing would make sense, considering that the latest IS just hit the market earlier this year as a 2014 model.
