Complete car.  Original 74000 mile car.  Solid car.  Needs some rust repair.  Front edge of hood is rusted thru.  Drivers side rocker is rusted thru.  Drivers side rear quarter, holes starting to rust thru underneath trim. Car is missing one MARK V emblem.  I do have drivers side rocker molding, forgot to take a pic of it.  NO major dents on the car.  Fairly clean straight car. Windsheild in good shape, no cracks. the only window with a crack is the pass sd door glass. The rest of the glass is in good shape.  All floors are solid besides the trunk floor.  Passenger side, about fuel tank there is a rust hole about 3"x3".  See photos.  Underneath the car is solid.  No rust holes.  No rust holes in the frame, good and solid.  Typical undercoating is peeling off the floor and frame.  The engine is a 430.  It does run.  The original carborator is not on it, but I do have it. The flappers are stuck in the original carb that's why I changed it.  Interior is in Poor condition.  But It is complete.  Drivers and passenger side door glass does go up.  I could not get the rear windows up.  Has power seats and power windows.  Needs a new convertible top.  I put the top up manually, I couldn't get the top to work. The only thing this car is missing is an air cleaner, KEYS, and Trunk Lock (someone took the trunk lock out, doesnt latch, thats why it is bungied down) and a Mark V emblem.

It is not a turn Key, run and drive car.  The brakes do not work.  Needs exhaust.  This is an excellent restoration project. Needs to be hauled or trailered.  Title is clean and clear PA Title in my name.  Any questions please Call (484)335-3688.  Please ask questions before bidding,

Ford issues four recalls covering 163k vehicles

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Recalls! 2014 will be forever remembered as the year that automakers went recall crazy, with millions and millions of vehicles adding up to crush previous recall records well before the end of the year. Adding to that tally is Ford, which announced a call-back for 163,000 vehicles.
Leading that charge are the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engines of the Ford Focus ST and Ford Escape. 160,000 of the 2013 and 2014 models have bad wiring harnesses that can disrupt the signals traveling to the powertrain control module. That, in turn, could lead to a check engine light, reduced power and stalling. Notably, Ford hasn't recalled any other vehicles that feature the 2.0 EcoBoost, such as the Fusion, Taurus or Explorer.
While the Focus ST and Escape constitute the vast majority of recalled vehicles, they aren't the only problem children in the Ford family. 1,300 Transit passenger vans from model year 2015 were recalled due to brake fluid leaks, while another 600 Transit cargo variants were recalled after Ford discovered the windowless sliding doors could come open in the event of a side-impact crash. Dealers will replace the sealing washers on the passenger variants and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo models, The Detroit News reports.

Lincoln poised to double MKZ Hybrid production

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has been something of a hit for Ford since the beginning, exceeding the company's modest projected 15-percent take rate for more than two years (we say "modest" because that still means an overwhelming majority of Lincoln customers are passing up on the gas-electric powertrain even though it costs the same as the standard model). Either way, Lincoln builds 700 MKZ Hybrids at its plant in Mexico each month, but has sold 715 of them in each of the past three months. That's why, according to a report in The Detroit News, when the restyled 2014 MKZ Hybrid arrives (non-hybrid pictured), Ford is doubling production compared to 2013. Instead of the hybrid model being 20 percent of production, the new hybrid will make up 40 percent.
Ford is doing well with hybrids in general - its portion of the electrified vehicle segment jumping 12 points in a single year to 16 percent. Assuming Ford doesn't change the pricing strategy (along with the changes Ford is making to calibration to improve fuel economy), the sedan could continue to "[show] other luxury hybrids how it's done" when it goes on sale later this year.

Lincoln to adopt Mini-like personalization strategy?

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

There's no single silver bullet that will cure all that ails the Lincoln brand, and Ford knows that just as surely as we do. Coming out with exciting new models like the well-received MKC crossover counts as several steps in the right direction, assuming of course that the production version is as appealing as the concept just shown at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but more is needed. According to Jim Farley, executive vice president of Lincoln, one more trick may be "mass customization."
Put another way, Lincoln is considering ways to allow buyers to customize their new vehicles right off the showroom floor, similar to how things are done at Mini, and, to a lesser extent, Scion, where Farley previously served as corporate manager. Imagine, for instance, ordering a new MKC with a large Lincoln insignia embossed into the leather seatbacks, according to Automotive News.
While we're not so sure anybody is all that interested in paying extra for more Lincoln logos, it's a strategy that has proven rather fruitful at Mini. Only time will tell if Ford's erstwhile luxury division will once again be seen as something truly worth reaching for, and if customers are willing to pay a further premium for customization.
