Thank you for looking at our 1956 Lincoln Mark 11 I purchased this car 3 years ago from a gentleman who got it from
a family friend that passed away. When I went to purchase this car I met my mechanic, who works on all my old cars,
to inspect it with me. I was most concerned about the frame, because these cars are known for having bad frames. He
looked underneath it and told me it needed a little bit of work on the front frame but the rest of the frame was
fine. He put the car in his car carrier and said it would be ready in 3 to 4 weeks. Two months later, I called him
and asked "Where's my car?". He said that when he was underneath the Lincoln there were also some rust spots on the
main frame and he already tore it apart as a process of fixing it. I was not happy. He dragged his feet for 2 and a
half years to finish the car. Finally, he called me and told me it was done and I could pick it up the next day. At
that point, he had replaced the whole main frame (both sides), and fixed the front frames on both sides where they
went bad. And with all the work done correctly it was probably better than new. He also ran all new brake lines and
gas lines and replaced wheel cylinders, springs and other parts in the brakes. He also replaced the fuel pump,
tuned it up and rebuilt the carburetor.
This is what was damaged on the car:
-Passenger's side paint peeled off
-Needs a front window and 3 side windows
-Will probably need some new rubber in the door
Outside of that, it's good.
I'd also like to mention that all the chrome and all the aluminum is fine and there is no warpage in any door or
fender. When this thing blew up the mechanic ran outside and pulled the car out with a chain with his truck so
there was not that much damage actually done. I also would like to mention 3 years ago a new gas tank was put on
and 4 new tires that have less than 100 miles on them and within the last 2 months, I rebuilt the starter, put in a
new battery, and replaced the oil ring for the filter. I also would like to mention that I have the original radio
that goes with the car and the owners manual. You can get in this car now, start it up and drive it down the road.
It shifts correctly, the brakes are good, and there's not one rattle in the car. This car will need a total paint
job to bring it back to where it should be and also will need new carpeting and interior because the carpet is not
good.
The 57,000 miles are actual, it's an all matching numbers car, the title is clean as it shows in the slideshow and
it has the rare factory air conditioning option. Both front and rear bumpers are still in very very clean condition
for being 60 years old. We hope that someone will purchase this car from us that will restore it and take it to the
next level because these 56 Lincoln Mark 2s were in very limited production, and the ones that are still left
around should be restored for generations in the future to enjoy.

Lincoln reveals MKC compact crossover ahead of LA debut [w/video]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013It used to be that if you wanted a luxury SUV, you had to go big. Just look at the first high-riders released by some of the major luxury automakers - Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX - and you'll see what we mean. But since 2009 the small premium crossover segment has grown a whopping 200 percent, so it's no surprise that each has followed up with smaller luxury crossovers. And this is the latest.
At the other end of the utility spectrum from the Navigator, the new Lincoln MKC is based on the Ford Escape (much as the old pseudo-premium Mercury Mariner was), but completely rebodied and luxed up to put it in another league. Although we're still not sold on Lincoln's family fascia, the grille treatment on the MKC is certainly one of the better variations on the theme to date. The Dart-like rear lights dominate the wrap-around tailgate, and the overall shape looks taut and upscale. The same can be said of the dynamically-designed interior, taking the concept revealed in Detroit earlier this year to production fairly seamlessly.
Power will come from a choice of EcoBoost four-cylinder engines with turbocharging and direct injection: a 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, or a slightly punchier new 2.3-liter with 275 hp and 300 lb-ft. Lincoln didn't disclose what transmission they'll be mated to, but did note that the MKC carries the brand's "signature" push-button gear shifter. It comes standard in front drive, but buyers who upgrade to all-wheel drive (or tick the right box) will also benefit from a new adaptive suspension Lincoln calls Continuously Controlled Damping. Other features include an approach-detection system that lights the car up and projects a Lincoln "welcome mat" on the pavement when you get close to the car, and a "bread-crumbing" feature that lets you track where your vehicle has been.
Lincoln dealers frustrated over slow MKZ production ramp-up
Tue, 12 Feb 2013Lincoln has clearly been working hard to get the word out about its 2013 MKZ sedan. The Dearborn automaker has taken out lavish spreads to trumpet its boldly styled new model in magazines of every description, along with placing commercials for both the vehicle and the reborn brand behind it on all manner of television programs, including the super-costly Super Bowl earlier this month.
Pity, then, that Lincoln dealers don't have enough MKZs to sell. According to The Detroit News, parent company Ford has spent a good portion of its time at this week's National Automobile Dealers Association meeting in Florida attempting to pacify upset dealers who don't have enough examples of the pivotal new vehicle in stock.
As the DetNews notes, Lincoln only sold 453 MKZs last month, a whopping 73-percent decrease over the same period last year when the sedan's predecessor was on sale. In fact, the stunted supply had enough impact that Lincoln's January figures worked out to a 32-year low for the brand, just as it's trying to get back on its feet. This, despite the fact that the MKZ is said to have the biggest number of pre-orders in the marque's history.
Lincoln MKC configurator comes alive
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Lincoln has already announced most of the trim level and option pricing for its upcoming 2015 MKC due out this summer, and now it has launched a configurator allowing prospective buyers to get a better idea of how this new model will stack up against other compact luxury crossovers. We already knew that the MKC will have a starting price of $33,995, but now we know that its price includes a destination charge of $895.
Models equipped with the base 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine come standard with the Premiere package - $33,100 for front-wheel drive and $35,595 for all-wheel drive. Both models offer equipment upgrades from the Select and Reserve packages. The $3,230 Select package adds features like leather seats, power passenger seat, folding and heated door mirrors and painted 18-inch wheels, while the pricier $6,935 Reserve package adds in heated and cooled front seats, panoramic roof, hands-free liftgate, two-tone wheels and an embedded modem (providing features such as remote lock and unlock, vehicle finder and pre-conditioning).
Opting for the new 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four raises the base price to $39,965, and it comes standard with all-wheel drive and all of the equipment in the Select package; the Reserve package is still optional. All models can be further optioned up with the $2,235 Technology Package (adding adaptive cruise, active park assist and lane keeping system) and the $580 Climate Package (heated rear seats and steering wheel, auto high beams and rain-sensing wipers). Checking all the options, a fully loaded 2015 MKC with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost will have a total MSRP of $47,715.
