This was the very first limousine I ever bought to start my business. It has a LOT of miles on it but the exterior is in great shape. I just had a new set of tires put on it. The tread is at 100% and was replaced two weeks ago.

Here are the things you need to know about the vehicle:

- Seats were refinished with leather stain. Its still in good condition but not perfect. Its wearing in certain areas.
- Rear brake lights are not able to be controlled by the normal switch. The rear brake lights must be controled from the trunk. This really isnt a big deal but if you wanted to you could order a new lgiht control unit and it would work.
- Airbags were replaced approximately 2 years ago. Vehicle does not sag while driving.
- The rear coach has a CD player.
- The exterior of the vehicle has no rust showing. It did have a rust repair completed about 2 years ago. I would say in about 12 months some of the panels will need it repaired again.
- The rear compartment is in rough condition. Ideally someone would want to have it reupholstered.  The quote I got for an entire new coach/leather/carpet at $2000 from a local guy.
- This vehice has a new engine that was replaced at 298,199 (Manufacturer Rebuilt) and a transmission rebuild.

- The vehicle drives pretty well but it does have a slight vibrations at lower speeds. I think a U joint is going out.

We are selling this vehicle because we now have over 11 in our fleet and this is the oldest vehicle.

If you have any questions please message me. The vehicle should be able to bring in at least 69 per hour in any market. Its not a perfect vehicle but it does clean up nice, no rust and a newer engine.

This vehicle has no reserve. Whatever I get is what I get for it. We have made a ton of money over the years from it and we just want it gone. It would make a great vehicle for someone new to the business. Proms, Weddings in Rural areas and Bachelor parties are perfect for it.

Thanks

Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.

1955 Lincoln Indianapolis concept up for auction

Sat, 21 Sep 2013

Lincoln was never a brand known for making sports cars. In fact it hasn't offered anything with less than four doors since the demise of the Mark VIII, and that was hardly what you'd call "performance oriented". But that doesn't mean that Ford's luxury marque never toyed with the idea.
In 1955 Ford delivered a Lincoln chassis (along with a 200-horsepower V8 engine and four-speed automatic transmission) to Carrozzeria Boano, an Italian coachbuilder that had just branched off from Ghia the year before. The resulting orange coupe you see here was named after Indianapolis and was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show. And while its detailing may have been divisive, the overall shape certainly caught the eye.
