ON THE ROOF: Buy 3 m molding glue -Simply first glue down the open seams on the roof.Once gluesd down there are 2 options: 1. buy a 4x8 sheet of sheet metal.cut it into a 2/12 width..72 long. That should cover egnth of the roof. .go to a fabric store and buy some black vinyl.cover the 2 2 1/2 strips with the vinyl..Then glue it over the seam.Coulsd screw in as well Then clean roof.Personally I would paint it with black outdoor paint.Thats it-YOU CAN ALSO SIMPLY GLUE and glue DOWN THE OPEN SEAM AND THEN CLEAN AND PUT A 1 OR 2 MOLDING ON TOP..THEN CLEAN IT.IF YOU DO THE MODLING GET A HEAT GUN AND HEAT THE GLUE BEFORE APPLYING THE MODING
ON THE STRETCH WINDOWS: BUY BLACK SILICONE ..STUFF ALL THE OPENINGS WITH THE SILICONE..THEN WITH YOUR FINGER SMOOTH IT OUT.AFTER THAT GO TO YOUR AUTO BODY SUPPLY STORE AND BUY A 24 FT ROLL OF VERY THIN 1/4 BLACK MOLDING..AS BEFORE HEAT UP THE GLUE AND APPLY OVER THE SILICONE
On the windsheild..taake a winndsheild guy to glue down rubber or replace. Compound car. These repairs are less than $150.So I have shared my knowledge with you.Car is a great deal.It is available outside ebay and its still possible I may buy it.The car is given to me on consignment. The problem is most people can envision abit of handy work and pay alot more.

Ford recalling 205k Edge and Lincoln MKX units for possible corrosion
Thu, 30 Oct 2014After the horrible weather last winter, it's hard to look forward for the season to return this year. For those readers in much of the country, the snow is going to be flying soon, and with it comes salt on the roads. That means Ford's regional recall for the 2007-2008 Edge and Lincoln MKX arrives at the perfect time because they are at risk for corrosion.
The campaign covers 204,448 examples of the models in 21 states, plus the District of Columbia and some provinces of Canada. In total there are 186,024 vehicles in need of repair in the US and 18,424 in Canada.
According to Ford, it's possible for the area, "under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted" to corrode. If this happens, there might be a gas smell in the vehicle or even a fuel leak could develop. In fact, the automaker reports that one fire could be related to the problem but no injuries or accidents are reported.
Ford recalling 370,000 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Town Car models
Fri, 30 Aug 2013The Detroit News is reporting that Ford will recall some 370,000 Crown Victoria (pictured), Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles from model years 2005 through 2011, for an issue regarding the lower intermediate steering shaft. 355,000 of the vehicles in question were sold in the US, with the other 15,000 sold in Canada.
The report indicates that corrosion of the lower intermediate steering shaft could cause a "loss of steering," presumably because of a partial or complete failure of the part. The report points out the dealers will inspect and replace the offending steering component for recalled cars, and may also secure a lower steering column bearing and replace the upper intermediate steering shaft as needed. The company is unaware of any reports of the faulty part causing any accidents or injuries.
Ford helpfully lists states in which corrosion is more likely to have taken place, mostly in the Snow Belt, as you might guess. Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia are listed.
Lincoln MKX Concept goes for the gold in Beijing
Sun, 20 Apr 2014We've now seen the Lincoln MKX Concept in the metal, and we've shot it with the lenses of our own DSLR cameras. And we have to say, our opinion of the concept's design language has improved over our initial reaction. Yes, it's clear that this MKX shares its underpinnings with those of the Ford Edge Concept that we saw in LA, but the changes made by Lincoln stylists are a welcome departure from the angular lines of its corporate cousin from The Blue Oval.
We like the subtlety of the MKX Concept's front fascia, and the lighting elements both front and rear lend a luxurious quality to the crossover's typical two-box proportions. When combined with the smaller MKC that was shown in production form late last year, it's clear to see that Lincoln has a specific design direction that at least seems visually capable of setting it apart from the Ford models with which the brand shares its platforms. Here's hoping there are some Lincoln-specific upgrades underhood...
Have a look at our image gallery of live photos from Beijing above, reread the press release below, and feel free to let us know what you think.
