1964 Maserati Sebring

3700 GT - First Series

Rare, Historic Italian Sports Car with Classic Italian Craftsmanship

Fully Restored - Ready For You to Enjoy!

Priced to Sell by a Private Collector - NOT a Dealer Flipping a Car!!

Start the New Year with a beautifully restored classic! This car is an exotic and rare piece of automobile history, named after Maserati's 1957 racing victory at the 12-Hour Race in Sebring, Florida. The Sebring, designed by Alfredo Vignale, was based on the popular 3500 Coupe, and manufactured between 1963 and 1969. These 2+2 grand tourers had a limited production of just 348 First Series units ever created. They were powered by the fuel-injected 3.5 liter inline six, the 5-speed ZF gearbox, and all the luxury and performance you could want from a 1960's Italian sportscar.

This particular vehicle, VIN #10102113, is number 330 of the 348 First Series Sebrings produced, with matching Engine and Chassis numbers, and Documentation from Maserati Classiche in Modena, Italy. This hand built car by Vignale has been restored with attention to details that discerning collectors insist upon, and appreciate for their investment value.

The many rare and desirable stock items on this vehicle add to its overall value, and separate it from the other examples: from the beautiful signed wood rimmed Nardi wheel, the original Auto-Clima A/C with rebuilt original York compressor that blows frigid air, to the bulb type Carello headlights, original chrome tail light bezels, original restored Lucas Fuel-Injection, twin Lucas fuel pumps model 2EP, stock heat shield over the exhaust headers and heat shields above and below the exhaust, to the original Carello wiper arms and blades with only the rubber being replaced, original Marelli twin coils, original fluted wire loom tube, and VDO washer bottle, original jack and tire tool, and an original wheel and tire (w/tread) on the spare, plus much more. All of these original stock elements are rare items that cannot be found easily, if at all, by restoration shops, and add to the investment quality of the vehicle.

Other features include:  Original Tubular Frame, Handbuilt Body by Vignale of Aluminum and Steel, Original Signed Nardi Wheel, Over 235 HP with Original Lucas Fuel Injection, 5-Speed ZF German Transmission, Original Borrani Wheels, Original Type Pirelli Cinturato 185/16 Tires, Dual Rear Fuel Tanks, Dual Lucas Fuel Pumps, Original Carello Headlights, Girling Brakes with a Power Assist Unit - 4 Wheel disc, Original Jaeger Gauges - in Italian, Scottish 'Bridge of Weir' Leather Interior by Master Upholstery, Wilton Carpet, British Suspension - Steering and Rear, Fuel Injection was rebuilt by Kinsler of Michigan, Original Auto Clima Air Conditioning, Lap-style Seat Belts installed in front seats, Maserati Car Cover, and Original Service Manual. Completely Restored Vehicle, 147 mph Touring Car: Mileage: 45,255.m / 72,831. km

These vintage Maseratis are now appreciating rapidly, and becoming very hard to find.  This car runs strong, is in excellent condition, and is an excellent investment opportunity, while also allowing you to enjoy the elegant styling and performance of a classic Italian sportscar.  The Sebring is a beautiful example of Italian design: well-built, with style and sophistication, and would be a great addition to your classic car collection.  It comes with its original owner's manual and illustrated parts manual both in English and Italian, Lucas Fuel-Injection Service Manual, documentation of records from its origins in Italy to its being exported to the US in 1981. It has been owned by an avid car collector for the past 26 years, who has maintained all records of work done on the vehicle.

Watch Edo Competition pit a Ferrari FXX against a Maserati MC12 Corsa on the 'Ring

Fri, 03 May 2013

High-zoot supercar tour organizer Gran Turismo Events held its annual Nürburgring track day last month, and in addition to the amateur punters the gates were opened to two tuned supercars from Edo Competition: A Maserati MC12 Corsa and a Ferrari Enzo ZXX. The ZXX, in case you've forgotten, is the same love child of Edo Competition and Zahir Rana's ZR Exotics that belly flopped into the Atlantic during the 2011 Targa Newfoundland.
We get a trip around the Nordschleife with both cars during a no-doubt quick but not insane lap, on board with driver Patrick Simon in the 755-horsepower MC12 and 'Ring queen Sabine Schmitz following in the 840-hp ZXX.
That should be all the build-up you need when the action's in the video below.

Maserati confirms Levante SUV for 2015, Alfieri for 2016

Tue, 06 May 2014

The Maserati share of the big Fiat Chrysler event today was expected to be something of a snooze, at least relative to the very busy Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Alfa Romeo portions. But the truth is there was plenty to pay attention to where the premium Italian brand was concerned. After all, moving from its 15,400 unit sales in 2013 to a target of 75,000 global sales in 2018 is going to take some doing.
One piece of big news is a shakeup in the existing ranks. 2014 will mark the final year of production for the GranTurismo (and its soft-top counterpart), meaning Maserati will be limited to just its Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans until the Levante SUV arrives in 2015, confirming previous reports. The first SUV to wear the trident, the Levante will only be available with all-wheel drive, but it will boast a Porsche Macan-smiting pair of V6s, with 350 and 425 horsepower, respectively.
Things get back to normal in 2016, as Maserati resumes sports car production with a road-going version of the Alfieri Concept from the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Again, this is confirmation of a previous report. That car will be joined by a convertible variant in 2017. It seems like Maser is taking aim at, well, everything with the Alfieri, offering a 410-hp, V6-powered variant that dispatches its power to the rear wheels, to go along with 450- and 520-hp versions of the Alfieri's V6 that will only get their power to the road through an all-wheel-drive system.

2014 Maserati Quattroporte revealed in patent drawings

Thu, 12 Jul 2012

Curious about what the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will look like? Recent spy shots of the big Maserati sedan haven't been much help, but now we have this: Three alleged patent drawings found by AutoWeek.nl. Better fire up your imagination, however, as like all European Patent Office images, these sketches have the unique ability to suck the beauty out of even Italian cars. Truth be told, if AutoWeek.nl had told us this was a new Buick, we might have believed them.
That said, we can certainly see the resemblance in the rear to the Maserati GranTurismo, with a similar C-pillar and that little flipped-up spoiler. In the front, too, we imagine the new Quattroporte will resemble its sportier sibling, with the crude lines from these drawings turned into more voluptuous curves through the magic of modern manufacturing.
Rumors say the next-gen sedan will be available with a choice of two engines assembled by Ferrari, either a turbocharged V8 or a supercharged V6. We're likely to see the new Quattroporte in the flesh for the first time at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
