Like New 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo S MC with Ferrari 599 F1 Transmission, it is 1 out of
300 ever built, and 1 out of 27 in this color combination with factory optional Gun Metal forged rims, making it
one of the rarest Maserati Gran Turismos, this is not just another Gran Turismo, the transmission offered in this
GT was only offered on 300 Gran Turismos ever built, other than the MC Stradale. This is the true MC with the
magneti marelli 6 speed F1- manual transmission, compared to an automatic Gran Turismo S this one can put up to 18
more percent horsepower on wheels because of the lack of torque converter , not to mention handling is improved
because of the rear mounted transmission, and weight distribution is better while shaving extra pounds. This
example is in like new condition, with no body work, no paint work, no accidents, never been raced, abused, or
neglected. Always garage kept in a climate controlled garage, and maintained according to the recommended
maintenance schedule.
Recent service includes oil change with RedLine brand 5W40 oil, and genuine upgraded Maserati oil
filter, 4 new Michelin Super Sport tires, clutch adjustment (80 percent life measured), transmission fluid
fill/flush, and new transmission potentiometer.
The car is fully loaded with all available factory options, such as alcantara headliner, outside color matching
interior trim, skyhook and more. It comes with all his service records, books, both keys, and genuine Maserati
indoor/outdoor car cover.
Wheels have no curb rash, scratches etc, calipers look new, pads and rotors still have over 80 percent of their
lives, the car needs nothing. Transmission shifts smooth, it holds all gears fine, clutch engages fast and does not
slip.
Paint looks like new, no scratches , no swirl marks, no rock chips, no rust anywhere, paint has been maintained by
hand washing and polishing / waxing.

Why Italians are no longer buying supercars
Wed, 08 May 2013Italy is the wound that continues to drain blood from the body financial of Italian supercar and sports car makers. The wound was opened by the country's various financial police who decided to get serious about superyacht-owning and supercar-driving tax cheats a few years ago, by noting their registrations and checking their incomes. When it was found that a rather high percentage of exotic toy owners had claimed a rather low annual income - certain business owners were found to be declaring less income than their employees - the owners began dumping their cars and prospective buyers declined to buy.
Car and Driver has a piece on how the initiative is hitting the home market the hardest. Lamborghini sold 1,302 cars worldwide in 2010, 1,602 cars in 2011 and 2,083 cars in 2012 - an excellent surge in just two years. In Italy, however, it's all about the ebb: in 2010, the year that Italian police began scouring harbors, Lamborghini sold 96 cars in Italy, the next year it sold 72, last year it sold just 60. The declines for Maserati and Ferrari are even more pronounced.
Head over to CD for the full story and the numbers. What might be most incredible isn't the cause and effect, but where the blame is being placed. A year ago the chairman of Italy's Federauto accused the government of "terrorizing potential clients," this year Luca di Montezemolo says what's happening has created "a hostile environment for luxury goods." Life at the top, it ain't easy.
Maserati looking to book 13,000 sales of new Quattroporte in 2013
Mon, 10 Dec 2012Europe's continuing financial woe is forcing automakers to get creative, and while Fiat may be scaling back its volume vehicles, it's looking to ramp up production of the exclusive Maserati brand. Following the debut of a new Quattroporte sedan, Fiat wants to boost Maserati sales to 50,000 vehicles by 2015. Maserati may lose as much as €7 million ($9.05 million) this year, and Fiat is betting big on Chrysler platforms and dealers to turn that around.
Currently regarded as a low-volume boutique carmaker, Maserati sold just 6,159 units last year, and 4,700 units through three quarters of this year. For 2013, Fiat boss Sergio Marchionne is targeting 13,000 in sales of the redesigned Quattroporte alone. Fiat apparently wants the brand's low volume image to change, hoping to position it closer to BMW and Porsche in the market.
The recent unveiling of the new Quattroporte will be followed by more new vehicle launches, including a crossover utility called Levante, and a long-promised sub-Quattroporte sedan, called Ghibli. The latter will share certain components with the Chrysler 300 sedan in an effort to optimize production costs. The Ghibli will be positioned to take on the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. It's all in an effort to turn the profit tide for Maserati and its parent company Fiat amidst European economic turmoil.
Maserati Alfieri Concept lands on US shores ahead of 2016 production model
Sun, 17 Aug 2014America, meet the next sports car from Maserati. This is the Alfieri Concept, and it made the trip from Europe to make its US debut during the 2014 Monterey Car Week.
The two-door originally made its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and has since made an ear-pleasing visit to the UK before it arrived at today's Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
For those that need a refresher, the Alfieri is a 2+2 that will, when it arrives in 2016, be available with a 410-, 450- or 520-horsepower V6, with the latter two power levels coming with an all-wheel-drive system. The Alfieri Coupe will be joined by a convertible in 2017.
