Up for auction is this really cool RX-8
I took it in on trade on a Harley. I have put about 1,000 miles on it. I drove it up from Sarosota, Florida. It runs, and drives excellent ! It's a lot of fun to drive. Handles like it's some kind of go-cart. Everything works as it should, it has I think all options except navigation. This car sold new for almost. $32,000 ! It's easy on gas and there are no mechanical issues that I know of. There is normal wear and tear and scratches on a car this age- but paint is shiny and it looks good. No door dings or big scratches. It does look like the rear bumper was painted on the right corner- it looks like it got bumped In parking lot and they did not line it up perfectly. I tried to get close up of it. There is no reserve- car will be sold to highest bidder. If you have only purchased a few small things, have limited, or negative feedback, you must contact me BEFORE you bid or I may cancel and block you from bidding. Not trying to be difficult but It his is a really nice car- I want it sold because I am too old for this car and don't have use for it and I don't want problems with someone not being able to pay |

Next-gen Mazda2 designed for 'predominantly feminine' appeal
Tue, 26 Nov 2013We can't ever think of a time we've heard anyone accuse the current Mazda2 of being too edgy, which makes reports of a softer design for the next-gen model a little surprising. Autocar reports that when the new 2 debuts next fall, it will have a "softer, more feminine appeal" than the current design.
This description lends a little more credibility to the Japanese magazine image we saw of the car back in July. Aside from Mazda's Kodo-inspired signature face, that picture did reveal softer lines, especially along the side of the car. This softened styling is to appeal to the car's target market, which Mazda's European design chief is reported to have called a "predominantly feminine customer base." Last we heard, though, Mazda might keep the next 2 out of the US due to slow sales.
The 2015 Mazda2 will reportedly ride on a shortened version of the platform used for the CX-5, but Autocar mentions that its platform could also be the basis of a new subcompact crossover - possibly to go up against vehicles like the Buick Encore and the upcoming Honda Fit-based crossover called the Vezel.
Mazda delays US launch of Skyactiv-D engine
Thu, 09 Jan 2014Japanese automakers haven't lead the charge towards diesel power in the same way as, say, the Germans have. But Mazda is out to change that. It has been following Audi's lead on the racetrack with oil-burning racecars right here in America, and will soon translate that excitement to the road by introducing its Skyactiv-D engine in North America. It just won't happen as soon as we expected.
Mazda announced today that, while its diesel engine meets current emissions requirements, the company has decided once again to push back an introduction originally slated to kick off in the Spring. According to the brief statement below, Mazda wants to take more time to find "the right balance between fuel economy and Mazda-appropriate driving performance."
In other words, the Zoom-Zoom brand apparently thinks its diesel engine doesn't deliver the zoom-zoom American drivers would expect, so we'll have to wait just a little bit longer. Details to follow closer to launch, whenever that will ultimately take place.
