up for bid is a 1960 Mercedes benz 180 .. the car has been sitting for some time now but was running when parked. i have started it up a few days ago and it ran ok but will need some things before it
will run good. the carb will need to be cleaned and it will need a new fuel pump as the one on it has stop pumping. the body will need some work as it does have some dents and surface rust in some
places. inside the trunk there is a hole the size of a basketball on the floor.. but the body only has some surface. all the windows are good and have no breaks or cracks. the inside is in pretty good shape
for its age but will also need work as the seats have tears and roof is hanging and so on. it will need a new battery because the one on it goes to my truck. all in all it is a good project car or restore.
i have had some people ask things like can i test drive it or will it make it back to my house and so on... again this is a project car that will need work and will not run until it has new fuel pump and carb work.
i am moving fast so i cant take it with me so i am letting it go with no reserve highest bidder will take it .... good luck.... has clear title, this car is listed locally also
any Qs just ask thanks

Maybach could become Mercedes-Benz sub-brand
Wed, 22 Jun 2011When you're arriving in a twin-turbocharged, twelve-cylinder Maybach limo, there's no reason you should ever have to be late. Except, maybe, to make a fashionable entrance. But up at the corporate level, the entire Maybach brand is being slowed down as critical decisions about its future are being undertaken.
Last week, we reported that a decision on what path Maybach would take going forward would be due at the start of next month, but the latest reports indicate that the timeframe has been extended as further options are being considered.
The previous options under consideration were twofold: either relaunch the brand with production outsourced to Aston Martin - which suddenly finds itself with excess production capacity - or shut it down completely. And those are still two very real options. Word has it that Aston has put together four concept cars for the Daimler brass to consider, all based on the next-generation S-Class platform (and thankfully not the old one).
Mercedes-Benz S-Class spied once again
Fri, 08 Feb 2013As evidenced by how little camouflage the next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been caught wearing lately, it can't be too much longer until the car will get its official debut. In our newest shots of the yacht-sized luxo sedan, the cladding still covers up the headlights, front fascia and most of the rear end, but we finally have an almost undisguised look at the rest of the car's lines.
Considering previous spy shots had more camo that better (or fully) concealed the S-Class' body, some of the more obvious things we see in these images include the prominent grille, the CLS-Class-inspired bodyside creases, the pointed trunk opening and, most interestingly, a lack of fancy exhaust outlets. Unlike other S-Class prototypes we've seen, this car does not have integrated outlets, but it does have two pipes on the left side of the car. All current S-Class models in the US and Europe feature a dual exhaust layout on each side of the car, so while some of our questions about the car get answered, it would appear that more are just arising.
Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars
Tue, 20 Nov 2012Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
