This super clean, one owner, 2008 Mercedes C300 4Matic, was just traded in for a new one.  Done in Arctic White with Savannah/Cashmere MB-Tex, this All Wheel Drive C-Class has the Premium-One Package which includes SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Heated Seats, & Moonroof.  Then it has the Multimedia Package which includes the 7" retractable screen, Navigation, & iPod Integration Kit.  This car listed for $40,700.  It has higher miles, but it has been faithfully serviced and runs as nicely as a new one.  Just had the oil and filters changed.  The interior has NEVER been smoked in, and can be rated a "10".  Extremely clean with all the equipment working properly.  The body is shiny and nice.  CarFax confirms this car has NEVER been in an accident.  Michelin tires are excellent, as are the brakes.  Mercedes Benz vehicles are built to last.  This car is still a puppy compared to the many on the road with over 500,000 miles.  This AWD Benz will give someone great service all year long.  DISCLAIMER: As with anything pre-owned, there may be imperfections commensurate with the age and mileage. Please don't expect perfection. Thanks for being reasonable. Any questions? Please call Philip at 978-852-9231 or email me through eBay. Thanks!

2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.

Mercedes fits new C-Class with AMG kit

Sat, 28 Dec 2013

It's only been a week and a half since Mercedes-Benz revealed the new C-Class, and it'll likely be a while yet before the replacement for the C63 AMG comes along. But if you want to see a preview of what it'll look like, look no further than the AMG aero kit that has just surfaced.
Expected to debut on the new C-Class at the fast-approaching Detroit Auto Show, the AMG Line Exterior Pack adds a new bumpers front and rear, side skirts, dual exhaust tips, mesh grille, aluminum window frames and - most importantly - 18-inch alloys packing upgraded brakes and fitted to a lowered sport suspension. All of which will help any C-Class look the part, even if the engine remains stock.

Online Find of the Day: Lexus-engined Mercedes pickup is a vintage hybrid

Tue, 16 Sep 2014

You have to love someone who gets incredibly committed to a very weird idea. What you see for sale here is a right-hand drive 1971 Mercedes-Benz 220D in South Africa, but this old Mercedes is now converted into a pickup, complete with bed cover, and there's big secret under the hood, too.
The pickup conversion appears well done based on seller Sedgefield Classic Cars' photos. Even the tonneau cover fits well. You could almost believe that this Mercedes lived its life as a Chevrolet El Camino-like pickup from the very beginning.
However, the rear-quarters conversion might not be the weirdest thing about this Mercedes. The original diesel is gone from the engine bay in favor of a Lexus V8. It seems really odd to pop the hood and find a Japanese mill in this German car, but the photos make it look like a fairly well performed swap. So, bravo to the crazy thinking. According to the seller speaking to Autoblog by email, "as far as we can establish, this was done a few years ago, with all Lexus components."
