Real smooth driving and riding car. Looks clean. Starts right up and runs good. Needs some tlc of course for the price. Personally I'll miss this car but I'm not equipped to repair her at the moment. 92 through 95 1/2 Benz used biodegradable wiring insulation on most of their harnesses so she is in immediate need of upper and lower engine harnesses. Blinkers just stopped working, hope it's just the relay. Possibly also a trans harness as reverse is slow to engage but I'm fairly sure it should prove to be a simple valve spring or loose band. She also needs at least one new tire. Spare is factory unused and looks good. Please understand that before you come to see her - she has all factory original paint which likely faded a bit and then it was not polished in time building up lots of surface tension, so now the paint crazed with micro cracks. A sanding and new clear coat would fix it. Has minor hit in the rear which only cracked the bumper and wrinkled the spare tire compartment a bit. .

Twin-turbo Cadillac CTS coming
Maybach could become Mercedes-Benz sub-brand
Wed, 22 Jun 2011When you're arriving in a twin-turbocharged, twelve-cylinder Maybach limo, there's no reason you should ever have to be late. Except, maybe, to make a fashionable entrance. But up at the corporate level, the entire Maybach brand is being slowed down as critical decisions about its future are being undertaken.
Last week, we reported that a decision on what path Maybach would take going forward would be due at the start of next month, but the latest reports indicate that the timeframe has been extended as further options are being considered.
The previous options under consideration were twofold: either relaunch the brand with production outsourced to Aston Martin - which suddenly finds itself with excess production capacity - or shut it down completely. And those are still two very real options. Word has it that Aston has put together four concept cars for the Daimler brass to consider, all based on the next-generation S-Class platform (and thankfully not the old one).
Erebus Motorsport Mercedes E-Class V8 Supercar completes the field [w/videos]
Sat, 23 Feb 2013Ford, Holden and Nissan introduced their V8 Supercar challengers a while back. Erebus Motorport, whose racing program got the green light not even 120 days ago, has finally shown off the Mercedes-Benz E-Class racer that will complete this year's field of entries. The first AMG race car ever to be built outside of Germany, it's an Australian-built tube-frame chassis specced to the series' Car of Tomorrow rules, fitted with body panels that channel the E63 AMG.
Supported by AMG Customer Motorsport, the 5.0-liter engine is provided by HWA in Germany, the racing arm of AMG. Regulations dictate that it have roughly 650 horsepower, a redline between 7,000 and 7,500 rpm and a torque curve that matches the parity baseline set for all cars.
Lee Holdsworth, Tim Slade and Maro Engel will drive the three team cars, each with different sponsors. Their first showing will be at the Clipsal 500 on March 3 in Adelaide, here in the US we'll get to see them in May at the Circuit of the Americas. Check out the videos below of the Erebus car starting up at its launch, and footage of all of this year's cars doing pre-season testing on track together.
