Chicago, Illinois, United States
If you have any questions please email at: georgianafinnicum@net-c.lu .
Up for sale is my 2008 Mercedes Benz E63. I purchased this car July2015, sight unseen, from MercedesShowroom in Ft.
Lauderdale. I had the car shipped to Chicago and was worried there would be blemishes that would upset me, but
honestly, the car was so clean, it exceeded my extremely anal expectations and I have continued to keep it in near
flawless condition since my ownership began. The car only receives hand car washes at Simon’s Shine Shop and
resides in a garage at my home and it work, where I park away from everyone.
The ONLY reason I am selling this car is due to having 2 dogs and a son, whom have never even been in this car. I
need something more family friendly and this car is too clean to allow dogs or a baby in.
I have added a 4 year/ 48,000 mile Fidelity Platinum Warranty. Valid until 9/9/2019 or 81,700 miles. I went with
the $250 deductible option.
Onto the vitals of the car:
- 2008 Mercedes Benz E63
- Flint Grey with Black Nappa Leather Interior
- All Factory Options plus P2 package and additional factory upgrades, including:
o Front & Rear Parktronic
o Voice Control
o Automatic Trunk Closer
o DVD Command Navigation – Disk included
o Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Washing System
o Cornering Fog Lamps
o Keyless GO
o Rear Sunshade & Rear Side Door Shades
o Standard Moonroof (NOT the problematic Pano)
o Heated & Cooled Active Ventilated Front Seats
o Black Suede headliner
o iPod integration with Tune2Air Bluetooth module for music playback
- All manuals, window sticker, booklets are included
- 2 master keys included
The car is nearly flawless with only several minor blemishes on the exterior. Overall I would consider the
exterior ABOVE average. The interior shows basically no signs of wear. The passenger & rear seats appear to have
never been sat in prior to my ownership. Overall, again, I would consider the interior ABOVE average. Definitely
a non-smoker vehicle. This car isn’t clean for an 8 year old car, it is clean for a 2 year old car, that is how
clean it is. ONLY blemishes on the entire car are noted in pics and are the following: scratch on passenger side
mirror, two small paint chips on passenger rear door. That’s it. No dings, no scrapes, no stories.Recent Maintenance Since July & Other Notes:

2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 Sport
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Mercedes Makes A Mighty Little Sedan
We got overexcited when the W203 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan came out in 2001, calling it the "Baby Benz" when it really wasn't. We knew that, too, but our enthusiasm for a model more like the old 190 of the '80s was so strong that we were willing to stretch the first-gen C-Class to fit that mold. Today, the C-Class has done what all German premium cars do: grown in size. In this case, grown to satisfy the market intentions of the previous E-Class.
There was the tall A-Class sold from 1998 through 2010, but we never considered that a serious small Benz in the proper spirit, nor was it ever offered in the US. Regardless, we've been craving a smaller, premium, sexy sedan all the while.

Mon, 19 Aug 2013LA To The Grand Canyon In The Mercedes-Benz Of RVs
Piloting an 8,500-pound motorized house down the highway is far from my idea of fun, yet inexplicably, I'm enjoying myself. My grin has nothing to do with my camper's handling, as this heavily accoutered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drives like a 25-foot long breadbox. My smile has nothing to do with on-road stability, as the ten-foot-tall, slab-sided vehicle reacts to wind gusts like the vertical stabilizer on a Boeing jet. My delight has nothing to do with its throttle or braking response, either, as both are as numb as your forehead after the eighth beer.
This monstrosity makes me happy for one reason - my passengers are undeniably having a good time.
VW joins Daimler's protest of new A/C refrigerant as EU deadline for compliance passes
Sun, 06 Jan 2013The case of Dupont and Honeywell's refrigerant R-1234yf is doing the exact opposite of keeping things cool. The two chemical companies have spent years and hundreds of millions of dollars developing R-1234yf to replace R-134a, the new refrigerant shown to be 99.7-percent kinder to the environment than the one it is meant to succeed. Part of that development has been years of testing by governments, outside safety agencies and automakers to approve the chemical for use in cars. It passed the protocols necessary for the European Union to declare that new and significantly revised cars from 2013 onward needed to use R-1234yf, and mandated that every car as of 2017 must use it.
Enter Daimler AG. The automaker created a head-on collision test with a B-Class at their Sindelfingen test track that would lead to the pressurized refrigerant being sprayed on the engine. The result in 20 out of 20 test was that the refrigerant burst into flames as soon as it hit the hot engine, while Daimler says that R-134a does not catch fire in the same test. Another unexpected result of the R-1234yf test was the release of hydrogen flouride, a chemical far more deadly to humans than hydrogen cyanide, emitted in such amounts that it that turned the windshield white as it began to eat into the glass.
Said a Daimler engineer in a Reuters piece, "It was scarcely believable. The most complicated lab tests conducted using the most sensitive measuring instruments around found nothing and all we do is drive a car around a couple of times, open a tiny hole in the refrigerant line and the next thing you know the car is on fire." So Daimler said it wouldn't use the refrigerant, and it recalled the cars it had already shipped with R-1234yf.
