This 1994 Mercedes E320 Cabriolet was just traded for a new one. It has just 72924 miles. Done in silver with a black soft top and black leather, it has dual heated power seats, power windows and locks, a/c, cruise control, power top, plus so much more. It runs great. Engine, transmission and drivability are excellent. The interior is super clean. Leather is supple. Rugs, doors, dash, etc., are all nice and clean. Left seat belt convenience arm does not extend. Power antenna stays up. All the other features are in good working order. The body is shiny and good looking. It does have some rust starting in a few places (see pics); front edge of drivers door; right fender, where it meets the bumper; right 1/4 panel on top by convertible boot; left fender over tire. Considering the age of the vehicle, it looks good as a daily driving fun car. Tires and brakes are good as well. This may not be a Barrett-Jackson museum quality antique, but for the price, this is a great investment that will keep on increasing in value. (Have you checked the price of older cabriolets lately?) Mercedes A45 AMG in downhill battle with slipstream skateboarder

That's how the two came to be combined in a black-and-white short film called Silver Slipstream.

Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model
Tue, 19 Mar 2013Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque.
