I purchased this striking Mercedes Diesel Sedan in August of 2009 and have owned it since it was brand new.  It has only been driven by me, has never spent a night outside, has never been driven hard, been misused or abused in any way.  With the exception of slight scuffing on one alloy wheel, the car doesn't have a mark anywhere on it, inside or out.  It has never been smoked in, never been eaten in and the passenger seat and rear seats have rarely been occupied!  I purchased a set of deep-tread Weather Tech floor mats with the car so the factory mats have never seen daylight.  Absolutely everything about this car is as it was the day it came off of the showroom floor!

This car features the ultra-clean burning 3.0Liter V-6 Bluetec Turbo Diesel mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.  It is quiet, smooth, powerful and a joy to drive...on top of that it's rated at 32 mpg hiway (it'll actually do a little better if you drive it conservatively)!  Every M-B option available including Factory Navigation.

I want you to be completely comfortable and confident when bidding to own this car...don't hesitate to call with any questions or concerns, or to arrange a test-drive or inspection.
Jon at 701-840-8038.

Car is located in Jamestown, North Dakota and is being driven daily so may have a few more miles on it when you get it.  If you wish to fly in and drive it home, we will pick you up at your choice of airports:  Jamestown, Fargo or Bismarck.  If you wish to have the car shipped, we will accommodate your shipper any way we can.

Check my feedback and bid with confidence....no disappointments here!

Watch Schumacher's hot lap of N"urburgring in Mercedes F1 car

Fri, 31 May 2013

In advance of the Nürburgring 24-hour race last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on a demonstration that had Michael Schumacher playing catch-up in a Formula One car against four examples of AMG metal. There were four cars sent off in staggered starts before Schumacher: an A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series, and an SLS AMG GT3 car. "Mr. Formula One," as the German television commentators call him, left three minutes after the SLS AMG GT3.
There are two videos of Schumacher's lap, the first is on-board footage - and even though there were several GoPros on the car the POV never cuts away from the front wing. You can hear the throttle and tell he's not pushing it, you can also tell how bumpy the track is. The second video is footage from the German Sport1 channel - with commentary in German - that shows all the cars taking off and takes the aerial view of proceedings. He looks to be going a lot faster in that one. You can compare and contrast yourself with the videos below.
Oh, and it's worth noting that, even with the likely restricted car, and the made-for-TV environment, Schumi turned in a quick lap. The nose camera shows the F1 car start to slow down on the back straight, near the start/finish line, right around the modern-length track record time of six minutes and eleven seconds.

Mercedes teams with Pebble for smartwatch tech

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Most automakers have realized by now that a good infotainment system is a must-have feature for many buyers, and have, as a result, invested increasing amounts of time and money developing these technologies. But some automakers are going above and beyond in-car entertainment and navigation technology by focusing on wearable technology as well.
Nissan has emerged as one such company, developing its own alternative to Google Glass and performance-oriented smartwatch. But Mercedes-Benz is also putting itself at the forefront of wearable tech - not by developing competing products to those designed by dedicated tech companies, but by working with them. The German automaker, as we recently reported, is developing its own app for Google Glass, and is now doing the same with smartwatches as well.
Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Mercedes has collaborated with Pebble Technologies to develop the Digital DriveStyle app. The system will display tell its wearer where the car is, whether the doors are locked and if it needs fuel. Inside the car it'll alert the driver to potential hazards coming up on the road, while making functions like re-routing the nav system, controlling the audio system or activating Siri that much easier.

In Which Mercedes' Sprinter Becomes A Long-Distance Sherpa
In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat. In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
