Hi everyone, up for auction is 2004 Mercedes E500 4 Matic (All wheel drive) Please read the entire add, this car has no title and no Key, I purchased this car as a Donor car to fix my Car, and after finding out that this car currently holding a clean title and title can be obtained im having a second guess about parting the car out, story is this, if you look close to the background you can see my silver Mercedes e500, I was driving mine and rear axle broke and damaged the hell out of the rear suspension on my car, my rear strut and air springs and rear axle broke, so dealer quoted me $6500.00 for parts and labor, and than I found this car on a craigslist, seller was a body shop, and it was abandoned vehicle, owner dropped it and never came back, so it was a good deal for me to purchase this car and use the parts I need it, and part the rest out, however this car has a lot of potentials for someone who can obtain a title, key is not a problem, 250$ at the dealer to get the new key, Illinois very strict on the titles, I did everything to get it, but no luck, towing company can get the title no problem, My friend works in towing company in Tennessee, he said if I bring the car and leave it for a few weeks he can get the title for me easy, some states are easy to obtain a title, unfortunately in IL no way,

on a good note, my friend is a computer freak, and he started the car up for me, this car starts and trany shifting rear and D, air suspension is working, car lifted up like a new car, ABS pumps pumping and working great also, navigation works, everything inside the car is working, seats and vent seats and heaters and AC and all that is working, you don't need the key to see the miles, radio and CD players are all working 100%, interior looks like Brand new, no holes or anything, all airbags are 100% only pass side front and rear seat belts are blown that's all, it has original 50000 miles, car was sitting since 2010, just look at the sticker on the plate, and that plate is belong to this Mercedes, went police dept, before I purchased the car, and police confirmed that this plate belongs to this car and its not stolen.

now is what the car needs, it needs a pass side upper and lower control arms with inner tie rod, and driver side inner tie rod, hood, fender, 1 headlight, and a bumper, trunk could be fixed I think, this car was broken in, couple of times, trunk was good, somebody opened the trunk that way, front windshield is broken, that's also somebody did it just to have fun, and rear tail light one is broken, KBB value is 20K on this vehicle, I added a picture of my car also, so you can compare, my car does not have vent seats and no navigation and no keyless go, so this car has the everything you can dream, if it does not sell ill take it to TN to obtain the title, so just testing the waters here.  IF YOU HAVE PRICE IN MIND, PLEASE EMAIL ME, I CAN STOP THE AUCTION IF I LIKE YOUR OFFER, Any questions please ask, have fun everyone bidding. Thanks

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.

BMW expects China to pass US as its top market in 2013

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

When you combine two billion citizens, 100 cities with more than a million inhabitants and an economy that's as unrestrained as Jim Cramer on an Adderall binge, China's explosive auto industry growth shouldn't be a huge surprise. Audi already lists the communist country as its largest market, while Mercedes-Benz is expecting it to be there in the next few years. Now, according to a report from Automotive News, BMW is expecting the People's Republic to overtake the United States in sales by the end of 2013.
We already discovered the extent that BMW is going to in establishing a dedicated Chinese stronghold, when we explored BMW's Shanghai-based DesignWorks studio ahead of April's Shanghai Motor Show. And while we argued that DesignWorks Shanghai hasn't really borne fruit, it isn't due to a lack of sales.
BMW China has seen a 16-percent jump in year-over-year sales, lead by a 28-percent gain in 5 Series sales. Part of BMW's growth strategy comes from an ever-expanding dealership network. Remember those 100 cities we mentioned with over one million people? According to Karsten Engel, CEO of BMW's Chinese operations, those 100-million-plus city dwellers don't have access to a premium dealership.

Mercedes A45 AMG in downhill battle with slipstream skateboarder

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We're told it takes "performance, control and expression" to pilot a longboard skateboard down a mountain road, and that those happen to be the same values embodied in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. That's how the two came to be combined in a black-and-white short film called Silver Slipstream.
There's no talking, no engine note and no color, just some music, a 'boarder and a car on a long cruise down the Franschhoek Pass in the Western Cape of South Africa." Despite that, it's actually a pretty entertaining video of the latest Mercedes-Benz hot hatch married with extreme sports. You can watch how it all goes down in the video below.
