 1990 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Removable/Convertible Hard Top, Only 35,000 Miles !! Rare!

This is a 1 owner 1990 SL500 that was purchased brand new by my grandfather.  This car is all original & is in immaculate condition.  It is 14 years old & appears to be new.  It rides & drives like brand new also.  I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.  It only has 35,000 miles because he rarely drove it.  It was his baby, very well taken care of.  It was handed down to me so I hate to sell it but I need the money.   No reserve auction but asking $10,000 locally

The condition of the vehicle is amazing.  Extremely clean inside & out. Cream color inside with light brown interior.  You could eat off the interior of this thing.  No signs of wear or tear.  Continental tires that are in excellent condition....  Air conditioning is currently not working & there is a crack at the bottom of the front bumper on drivers side ( I have pictured this).

Has all types of options which include but are not limited to....

3.0L inline 6 engine , Push button removable hard top ,  leather interior, power windows &locks , auto climate control, Position memory seats/steering wheel, telescopic steering wheel, cruise control, SRS air bag system, ABS system, cassette player, 6 cassette holder, wipers on the headlights.   All types of things ! .... Mercedes was way ahead of their time!

I also have the car for sale at a local dealership, so I have the right to end auction at anytime.  Buyer is to arrange pick up or shipping.  If you will be having vehicle shipped, I can assist in finding a good shipping company.  If you are picking vehicle up, I will meet you at a public place or I could pick you up from our local airport if needed.  This is a private party sale. I have sold a couple cars on ebay before so I am not new to this whole procedure.

For questions please contact me at 309-631-7077 .. I don't know a whole lot about mercedes-benz but I will answer your questions to the best of my ability.

Mercedes A45 AMG in downhill battle with slipstream skateboarder

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We're told it takes "performance, control and expression" to pilot a longboard skateboard down a mountain road, and that those happen to be the same values embodied in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. That's how the two came to be combined in a black-and-white short film called Silver Slipstream.
There's no talking, no engine note and no color, just some music, a 'boarder and a car on a long cruise down the Franschhoek Pass in the Western Cape of South Africa." Despite that, it's actually a pretty entertaining video of the latest Mercedes-Benz hot hatch married with extreme sports. You can watch how it all goes down in the video below.

The Mansory Speranza proves that money can buy taste and good sense...

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

...Just kidding.
No one in their right mind has ever accused German tuners Mansory of being subtle. So, when our Geneva team wandered across the Mansory Speranza - A Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen that has been denuded of its roof and spackled inside with quilted leather and red carbon fiber - they didn't ask a lot of existential questions. Why does the Speranza exist? Because Germans are weird sometimes, that's why.
Forget for a moment that you'll have to pay Mansory hundreds of thousands of euros (we're guessing, no pricing information has been revealed) for the privilege of converting your G-Class into something that looks like a Suzuki Samurai, and prepare to be impressed by the details. The tuning house has increased the output of the Mercedes V8 to a healthy 700 horsepower and 668 pound-feet of torque. The wheels are 24-inches, and wear almost unbelievable 305-section ultra-high performance Vresdestein tires. Carbon fiber can be found nearly everywhere one looks, including making up the housing for the spare tire. Oh, and there are leather pillows for the backseats... no word on whether they're standard or optional, but we're looking in to it.

Test drive the Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive with Chris Harris

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

It's hard to not like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. The all-aluminum coupe is fitted with a wonderful naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Not only does the burly combustion engine launch the two-seater to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, but it does so with one of the world's greatest exhaust soundtracks as it roars, burbles and cackles down the road.
But what happens when Mercedes-Benz takes away the V8 and its accompanying fire-burning song? Stripped of one of its most appealing assets, does the SLS lose its soul?
Chris Harris recently had the opportunity to take the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive for a track spin in Europe. Sans gasoline, but with four electric motors providing a combined 740 horsepower (737 pound-feet of torque), all-electric all-wheel drive coupe uses sophisticated torque vectoring and a multi-mode operating system to put oversteer - drifting! - back into the equation. Fun? You bet. See for yourself, below.
