For sale is a great looking 2003 Mercedes Benz 500SL/ The car has always been under warranty, either factory or supplemental after factory warranty. It is still covered under the Warranty Direct XtraCare Plus 25/25 Expiring 11/30/2013. This would give the buyer plenty of guarantee and confidence when purchasing the vehicle. The car only has 50,000 miles thus means it has been driven 5,000 miles per year. This car has been driven less than most collectibles or show cars.
The exterior is a classy champagne color and the interior the contrasting red. It is definitely an eye-catcher. The car has the AMG style body flares as you can see by the front spoiler and has an updated grill that matches (champagne) the color of the car, rather than the original that came with the car (it is MB OEM).
The 3-piece Avus wheels are chrome and beautiful. The wheels are 19's with the rear deep set and the tires have most of their life left. .Has just had service done and the car has never been in an accident, incident or fender bender.
The car, while a 500 has the badge of 600 on the back as well as the side grills. Also has a Renntech badge. Buyer can leave or remove as the badges can be removed without affecting the car nor the paint.
The A/C is incredibly cold and the seats also have the A/C or Heat blown through which was an option as well as the massage feature which it has. the dash is perfect, no cracks and has the black wood option for the interior trim. The vehicle has all the options offered in 2003 minus the glass roof.

Maybach could become Mercedes-Benz sub-brand
Wed, 22 Jun 2011When you're arriving in a twin-turbocharged, twelve-cylinder Maybach limo, there's no reason you should ever have to be late. Except, maybe, to make a fashionable entrance. But up at the corporate level, the entire Maybach brand is being slowed down as critical decisions about its future are being undertaken.
Last week, we reported that a decision on what path Maybach would take going forward would be due at the start of next month, but the latest reports indicate that the timeframe has been extended as further options are being considered.
The previous options under consideration were twofold: either relaunch the brand with production outsourced to Aston Martin - which suddenly finds itself with excess production capacity - or shut it down completely. And those are still two very real options. Word has it that Aston has put together four concept cars for the Daimler brass to consider, all based on the next-generation S-Class platform (and thankfully not the old one).
Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)
