This is your chance to purchase an EXCELLENT car and help a very good cause!!!!  I am listing this for the Catholic Church, Saint Therese, located in Clinton, Tennessee 37716.  A local parishioner donated the car to the church and Father Julis has authorized me to sell the vehicle to raise money so the Church can raise money to purchase a van.  It is an excellent car owned by a professional which I would love to have myself, however, my wife is Catholic and she is hoping the Church can raise a lot of money to purchase the van for missions.  This car has a CLEAN Carfax.  This car is a beautiful special order option-548 Firemist Red ($640.00) with Charcoal Leather Interior. The only optional equipment ordered on this car is the option-423 Automatic Transmission w/Touch Shift, ($1300.00) There is one button to push to lower/raise the power hardtop.  This car was close to $50,000 new (see Original Window Sticker) and has been well taken care of during it's lifetime. The car also comes with all tools and supplies as well as the Window Sticker and all books and materials supplied from the dealer.  You will not find a nicer driving car around and PLEASE do not forget this a wonderful opportunity to purchase a GREAT car and help a wonderful cause at the same time.  Please bid with confidence.  We can help arrange shipping but shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer.  The car is being sold AS-IS as well.  I also reserve the right to end the auction because early as the car will be listed locally.  Please feel free to contact Sal at 865-680-6151 should you have any questions about the car.  Feel free to contact Father Julis at St. Therese Church, Clinton, Tennessee 37717 at 865-457-4073 if you have any questions about the project the sale of this car will benefit.  This is a NO RESERVE auction.  Winning bidder must pay a $500.00 down payment within 48 hrs of auctions end by check, cash, certified funds or Paypal..  The balance may be paid by wire transfer or certified funds.  The funds will be verified before transfer of the vehicle takes place. Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)

Watch this perfectly nice Mercedes get crushed by a front-end loader

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

In a world where the YouTube hoax continues to thrive, it's hard to know what to think of this little vid, but here are the facts as we know them: a coupe that looks like a first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK gets crushed by a giant front-end loader. There you have it.
Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes? See for yourself in the video below and then leave us your thoughts in Comments.

First official shot of Mercedes S-Class Coupe leaks out

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

With the official debut for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe expected tomorrow, it shouldn't be a surprise that some clicky fingers have already managed to uncover an official image of the car before the unveiling. Outside of this sole image, though, there's precious little detail on the new car.
First posted by Autofilou and then picked up by WorldCarFans, the production S-Class Coupe isn't far off from the concept car we saw a few months back in Frankfurt. Like the concept, the leggy production model appears related, albeit distantly, to the S-Class Sedan. The hood and front fascia are longer and lower, befitting of a two-door, while the character lines in the profile are more pronounced. Obviously, the beltline and slim, B-pillarless greenhouse are coupe-only items. We can't see any details on the back of the car, although it does appear that the long hood has a correspondingly short rear deck.
We'll have all the details on the official replacement for the CL-Class when it makes its full debut tomorrow. Until then, what do you think of this lone image? Does it appear that Mercedes has got it right? In terms of design, where would you rank this with the departing CL-Class? Have your say in Comments.
