2007 Mercury Mountaineer Premier Sport Utility 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Montague, New Jersey, United States
This truck was purchased by my mother in June 2010 at a local ford dealer. It was a three year turned in local lease with about 32k on it.Our family has put about 70K miles on it in the 4 years we have had it. It runs and drives beautiful. We took very good care or it mechanically and all scheduled services were preformed. The tires have about 5K miles on them and are like new. A four wheel alignment was done at that time. The transmission fluid and filters were changed, the brake fluid was flushed/ changed along with the pads and rotors about 15K ago, the power steering fluid was flushed/changed, throttle body fuel injection all cleaned (by dealer) , newer battery, oil changes were done with only ford motorcraft oil and most recently a complete tune up (all new coil packs and plugs) cost 1,000. My mother was a fanatic about preventive maintenance ....The truck runs awesome. She no longer can drive it in her 70's and we really have no use for it any longer. It has all the cool options : heated power front seats , power folding third row seats, power adjustable gas & brake pedal, Navigation , satellite radio, power moonroof, parking sensors, towing package, roof rack, V8 , All Wheel Drive, rear air conditioning, 18 inch wheels, and black leather interior. There is a small chip in the windshield. A small dig in front rim. There are lots of chips and scratches and specs all over the car. It is still shiny but desperately needs a compounding & wax .The interior needs a shampoo & leather cleaner. We could have done a better job keeping it clean. This is the main reason I will set a low reserve. In addition, there is a good sized scrape on the front drivers bumper and passenger rear door. There are no check engine lights on and all systems function as they should. This is a fun safe truck to drive as it handles very responsively. THIS A NO RESERVE AUCTION

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage
Mon, 03 Jan 2011The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.

Ford announces free brake pad offer if customers stop by dealers
Mon, 04 Aug 2014These days, when you buy a new car, it's not unreasonable to expect a certain period of free maintenance to come along as well. Sometimes this is through the life of the warranty, in other cases a little less. But Ford Motor Company is going beyond those deals for at least one part of its cars. As of now, if you buy a set of Motorcraft brake pads for a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury model, you get free replacements for as long as you own the vehicle. The offer is good at Ford or Lincoln dealers and Quick Lane Tire & Auto Centers.
"We will replace the pads for as long as you own the vehicle," said Elizabeth Weigandt to Autoblog. She did clarify that the Motorcraft pads are generally for models from the '90s or newer. Also, to take advantage of this program, a person must return to the same dealer each time to get the free parts.
Of course, Ford isn't just handing out brake pads to anyone who walks by; there are certain stipulations. First, the components have to be worn down to less than three millimeters to be eligible, and the buyer still has to pay for the labor to install them. If the model is used as a fleet vehicle for commercial purposes like as a taxi or limousine, this offer also doesn't apply; the same thing for racecars. On the plus side, if you recently bought a set of pads from one of the participating locations, you're still in luck. The deal covers parts purchased as of July 1.
eBay Find of the Day: Mercury Marauder two-door convertible
Wed, 31 Aug 2011Never underestimate what you'll see on eBay Motors. Take this unique creation, for example. Near as we can tell, it's the same 2002 Mercury Marauder that was modified into a two-door convertible by Ford for the 2002 Chicago Auto Show. According to the seller, this car still boasts its Eaton supercharger bolted to a 4.6-liter V8 engine, and at the time of its debut, the engine was rated at a lofty 335 horsepower. We have a hard time believing that the extra ponies would do much to offset the weight of the additional frame stiffeners and top mechanism on the car, however.
The vehicle is currently offered for sale by a dealer in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, though the listing is mum on how the convertible managed to make its way from Ford's Windy City show stand into the seller's inventory. If you like what you see, the machine can be yours for the princely sum of $75,000 or best offer. Head over to eBay Motors to take a gander at the listing.
