My daughter bought this car in the summer of 2012 to drive back and forth between Yakima and Seattle. She put about 20,000 miles on it and it never gave her any problems. We did put 4 new tires on, and had the tie rods and sway bar replaced. Also we replaced the battery this spring. The car was not used all winter, and the service engine soon light is on. Even though the oil was changed about 1500 miles ago, it has been a year and probably should be done again soon. The tabs are not current, but if the car sells for full price, I will buy the new tabs. This vehicle is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this listing early if the car sells. Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls

Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
