2007 Mini Cooper S on 2040-cars

US $9,500.00
Year:2007 Mileage:85104 Color: is bone white
Location:

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Probably the best color combination and most fully loaded Mini Cooper S I have ever seen.  The interior is wrapped in red leather and black cloth.  The exterior is bone white. It has full black and gray union jack branding everywhere: side mirrors, rearview mirror, cup holders, door locks and valve stems.  It has black anodized John Cooper Works 18" rims.  I have 6 total matching rims total that come with the sale of the vehicle.  Brand new matching tires on 5 rims and one rim has no tire.  Factory Navigation and Heated Seats.  Xenon Headlights. Factory Front and Rear Headlights. Interior Accent Light colors can be changed (Blue,Purple,Red&Amber) If the option was available, this car has it.  I have the original window sticker and all books and manuals.  Keyless entry.  The car is in excellent driving condition, with no mechanical defects whatsoever.  It has a full bumper to bumper warranty remaining through June of 2015 up to 100,000 miles.

We bought this car from the original owner in June of 2013.  It was intended to be our commuter car for driving from the Poconos to Philadelphia.  It gets around 35 miles per gallon highway and still has amazing acceleration.  We ended up moving to the Philadelphia area in September 2103 and our family is growing, so we are no longer in need of a 3rd vehicle.  It is hard to see this great car go, but the money is more important now.

Bid with confidence, as this a great vehicle with over a year and 15,000 miles remaining on the bumper to bumper warranty.

The only flaw is a small dent on the hood by the cooper logo you can hardly notice.  We bought the car with this dent and decided to live with it.  I got a quote for $350 to repair it and repaint the whole hood.  There was 2 small chips in the front windshield that I had repaired from Safelite Autoglass and they have a nationwide lifetime warranty that transfers to the new owner.

Any questions please don't hesitate.

Just noticed very small scratch/dent on roof, maybe 2". I will gladly send any interested bidder as many photos they would like.

Thanks for looking

New Zealand SPCA teaches rescue dogs how to drive a Mini

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

No, this isn't an April Fool's joke or some sort of wacky car commercial. It's the SPCA Auckland (located in New Zealand) coming up with an innovative way of proving that it's possible to teach a rescue animal new tricks. Monty, Porter and Ginny are all dogs rescued by the SPCA Auckland, and each was taught the ability to drive a Mini Countryman around a track.
After being strapped into the driver's seat, the dogs are able to use their paws to start the car, steer it and work the gas and brake, which have been modified similar to a car setup for a special-needs driver. These dogs aren't being trained to drive on the street as any sort of driving-eye dogs, rather it is just a demonstration of how smart and docile rescue dogs can be regardless of how they ended up there. Porter was found wandering the streets, Ginny was abused by her owners and seized by the SPCA and Monty was surrendered by his owners to the rescue. Ironically, Porter and Ginny initially got carsick during the exercises, but have since gotten over this.
Think it's a joke? Scroll down to watch four videos showing the dogs in action and another to see what mods were made to get the Mini ready for canine duty. In the first video, you can also see that Porter does a better parking job than most humans!

2015 Mini Cooper snapped uncovered on the road

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

The third generation of reborn Mini is nearly upon us. Just look at the trail of breadcrumbs the Anglo-Saxon automaker has been leaving us.
First we saw the upcoming new Mini Cooper, spied from above at a photo shoot, which Mini was quick to point out was not its best angle. Then BMW's retro-hatch division showcased the Mini Vision concept, and followed up just yesterday with details of the new engines and chassis that will underpin the latest model. And now we have the clearest batch of spy shots we've seen yet.
Not only were these shots taken from a better angle, but also show the new Mini in the more tempting Cooper S trim - complete with hood scoop, split-spoke alloys, roof spoiler and twin central exhaust tips.

Mini Rocketman back on the table, might go aluminum

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

Mini just doesn't want its Rocketman concept to die. It unveiled the truly mini model at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and since then, there have been countless on-again, off-again rumors about the possibility of it going into production. If the latest talk proves true, a smaller vehicle like the Rocketman might make it into the automaker's lineup after all, as competitor to other stylish city cars like the Smart ForTwo.
According to the company's head of design, Anders Warming, speaking to Auto Express, Mini likes the idea of having a smaller model in its lineup, but it has to figure out a way of actually making it work. Warming is clear that the next iteration of the Rocketman concept (or whatever it's called then) won't be seen until a design is ready.
There are still plenty of challenges keeping a production Rocketman off of the city streets of the world, and chief among them continues to be finding a platform. But Mini is at least considering it. "At the moment, we don't have the right tech solutions, but we are working on it. We don't yet have a final solution, you could say," said Warming to Auto Express. He also thinks the final version would drop the concept's carbon fiber in favor of more aluminum components.
