Highly modified dsm eclipse awd turbo 5 speed running 20 pounds of boost. Big 20 g turbo 1100 cc injectors needed for flex fuel, chrome headers wraped. Chrome j pipe. All hard pipes. In order for the car to handle that much power it was rebuilt with the 6 bolt swap with arp studs and internals. It douse have aftermarket cams also! Full hks cat back sounds very nice. can run u to 500 hp but am running like 350 hp to all 4 wheels.Havent had time to dyno rec so yea its a good gusse. running on e85 flexfuel getting over 30 miles to the gallon, and yes it was tuned and tuned right to run on corn fuel. The side skirts are off the car but i do have them. slotted front and rear brakes witch is rare. There in exelent cond. Big front mount intercooler. 6 bolt motor swap. New head gasket, new cv axels, 6 puck racing clutch just broken in.Stainless steel clutch wire. It has clutch fuel cut off if you wanted to hook it up to were when u put in the clutch it cuts fuel so you dont have to let off gas for ultra fast shifting. Never used it but its there if you wanted to. Lowered with springs. Dsm link and got the cord to hook to computer for tuning. Air fuel ratio. Aftermarket boost and oil pressure gauge since the stock ones are so inacurate, and yes they all work. greddy turbo timer. all minor cosmetic issues like paint faiding no headliner no ash trey stuff like that. Just way to much stuff to list im forgetting alot of it. A great Daily driver, or I should say a great daily race car and daily. Trying to sell to buy a toyota supra or trade for one. email me with any Qs or offers.

Camaro Z/28 and Mitsubishi Starion meet in this nostalgic vision of '87 Japan

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

The '80s is just far enough away now that it no longer seems like an era defined by Reagonomics and neon clothing. Filmmaker Matt Clark has embraced the look of the music videos of the decade in his new short film titled Orange Orchid, set in 1987 in Chiba and Yokohama, Japan. The video features some great sports coupes of the time and is set to the song I Know There's Something Going On from Abba-alum Frida (along with drumming and backup vocals from Phil Collins).
Clark really embraces the pop-culture look of the era's videos with big hair, a healthy dash of neon, inexplicable smoky rooms and big, over-wrought movements. However, the real stars for us are the pair of '80s sports coupes that also kind of personify the main characters. Nijo in her denim jacket has a modded Camaro Z/28 with huge, dished wheels sticking way out past the fenders. Naturally, the Chevy also features some great butterscotch paint and a car phone inside. Alex, the guy pursuing her, forgoes any obvious upgrades in favor a clean, all-white Mitsubishi Starion to go along with his tailored suit and giant cell phone.
We wish this video featured the cars a bit more prominently, but that drumbeat from Collins on this forgotten 80s gem is pretty fantastic, too. Give it a listen in the video.

2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Final Practice Day 4 and pre-race notes

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

The running order has been established for the 92nd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for all classes and everyone's had all the practice they're going to get. On Sunday, June 29, the 14,110-foot-high mountain will ask each of them, "Who wants some?" Unlike previous years, while the bikes will run according to class, the cars will run according to their qualifying times set on the bottom section of the course, regardless of division, the fastest guys going first.
That puts Romain Dumas at the head of the 67 car entries, having set a time of 3:37.525 in his Norma M20 RD in the Unlimited Class, but the next Unlimited entry doesn't appear until sixth, Piero Nappi in his Picchio P4 pp with a time of 4:03.357. In between them, the two Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution IIIs start second and third in the Electric Modified class, that first one driven by Greg Tracy 11 seconds behind Dumas. Then comes Monster Tajima is his E-Runner Pikes Peak Special, then Paul Dallenbach leading the Open Wheel class, four positions ahead of the next Open Wheel competitor.
Leaders in the other classes: Michael Skeen driving a Nissan GT-R in the Open class in seventh, 12 positions ahead of the next class entrant; Jeff Zwart in eighth, driving a Porsche 911, will be the first in Time Attack 1, his competition starting right behind him; Robert Prillka in 21st is the first Time Attack 2 entry in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, three positions ahead of the next entry; in 23rd is Christopher Lennon in his 1973 Porsche 911 in the Vintage class, the next Vintage entry in 37th; the first Exhibition entrant is Donald Huffman in a Radical RXC in 50th, four positions ahead of the next in-class competition; and representing for Electric Production is Roy Richards in a Honda Fit EV.

Mitsubishi pondering $2B share sale?

Sun, 15 Sep 2013

Mitsubishi makes the brilliantly fast, wonderfully fun Lancer Evolution. Outside of that road-going rally car, the rest of the range is pretty poor - the new Outlander isn't bad, but the subcompact Mirage looks like might've been competitive five years ago, while the Galant and Lancer have suffered from serial neglect.
This hasn't just lead to rumors of Mitsu's death in America; the subsidiary of the massive Mitsubishi Group has been in trouble at home, too. It was bailed out by three other Mitsubishi Group companies - Mitsubishi UFJ Financial, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation - between 2004 and 2005, according to Bloomberg. Now, it's attempting to extricate itself from "emergency mode," as analyst Koichi Sugimoto told the financial site, adding that "they're still in the very early stages of recovery."
As part of the bailout, Mitsubishi issued its three saviors billions of dollars of preferred shares, which don't have voting rights. The problem is, Mitsubishi hasn't issued dividend payments since 1998, and these stocks aren't exactly competing with Apple or Google, in terms of value. In other words, they're mostly worthless. With a public offering, Mitsubishi is expecting to raise 200 billion yen, or about $2 billion, in order to reduce the number of preferred shares. If all goes according to plan, it will wipe out preferred shares by March of 2014, or the end of fiscal year 2013.
