2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Ix, 500hp, Fp Black on 2040-cars
Winchester, Virginia, United States
Up for sale is my Pride and Toy, My fastest car ive ever owned and reliable as no other. This is a 2006 (last year of this model) Evo 9 (only year they made this model). This car is similar to the other Evo 8 other then the Evo 9 comes with the M-VIC engine. So if your looking for a Lancer Evo thats rare and all around better then the Evo 8, this is the model to get. Im the second owner of the car and love to keep it but years have gone by and im looking for something 4x4 (no offers plz). The car made 476whp 28psi on a low reading dyno. All i know is ive spanked plunty of boosted cars and corvetts to know this car is no joke. Hints the plates say V8-R-JOKS. Im currently running 93octane on stock ECU. Tunner says im tapped out and can make more power by coverting to E85/ methonal and an Engine management system, and it will put 550wph to 600whp. Ive spent a fair share of money in this car (20k+) and all it needs in the bottom block to be built and port the head and its finished. This car is not ur stock Evo so dont expect it to sound or drive that way. its got 274/274 cam and believe me when i say it sounds camed out! Starts right up and idles great, low idle sometimes at lights but not often. Said it was tunning with the stock ECU and large cames. Only problem i know, which just started, is either the throw out bearing or clutch is showing its age. it has a built tranny and heavy duty clutch but that was installed 3 years ago. This is my Daily driver and even with the clutch or whatever grinding (only in 1st and reverse and doesnt happen everytime) the car runs great and pulls harder then a mother ******. I wanted 25k for the car but im droping it to 23,500 for fixing cost for whatever it needs. Here is a list of parts installed on the car, other than buschur racing stuff, only a year old on parts. feel free to ask any questions, i know this car will make somebody happy the moment they drive it.

Mitsubishi previews diesel hybrid pickup concept, next-gen EV for Geneva
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Mitsubishi has a long history of tidy little pickup trucks, and the Japanese automaker is apparently looking to extend that heritage in a bolder, bigger way with the Concept GR-HEV, a "sport utility hybrid truck."
The future-think show star, slated to be unveiled at next month's Geneva Motor Show, is actually tipped to be a much larger effort - Mitsubishi says it's applying its hybrid technology to a one-ton truck for the first time. The GR-HEV is powered by a complex powertrain composed of a diesel engine and electric motors, which the company believes is better suited to the sort of heavy-duty work required in the segment. The concept also employs full-time four-wheel drive and a development of Mitsubishi's Super All-Wheel Control system (which governs things like stability and brake force control along with an active center differential) as seen on the production Lancer Evolution.
In related news, Mitsubishi has also confirmed that it will show a next-generation electric showcar at Geneva dubbed Concept CA-MiEV. With this new concept (inset photo), the company says it is looking to build on the learnings of its i citycar and take EVs out of their limited urban roles. To that end, the CA-MiEV boasts "next generation EV systems and high density batteries" that give it a range of 186 miles.

Greg Tracy's MiEV Evolution III topped the time sheets almost 14 seconds ahead of third-place Monster Tajima.
On Thursday, qualifying times for six categories were set on the bottom-section switchbacks of Pikes Peak: Electric Modified - near-unlimited showcases of electric-vehicle engineering; Electric Production - electric vehicles "readily available to the public;" Open Wheel - single engine, open wheeled, open cockpit, single seat vehicles; Open - based upon a production or approved-aftermarket-replica vehicle; Exhibition - a prototype or pre-production vehicle limited to one year of eligibility in this class; and Vintage - vehicles and drivelines from 1990 or earlier.
Mitsubishi's first US chairman since 2007 charged with revitalizing brand
Fri, 02 Nov 2012Have a look at Mitsubishi North America's vehicle page and you'll find seven cars in four model lines: i-MiEV electric hatch, Lancer sedan, Lancer Evolution and Sportback, Outlander and Outlander Sport, and Galant sedan. The Galant has 3.9 tires in the automotive grave, and the only hope for mainstream excitement, the Eclipse coupe and Spyder, had hemlock poured down their crankcases last year. Increasing the quotient of bleak, the Lancer isn't due for a refresh until 2014, the coming Outlander PHEV will sell in miniscule numbers when it does arrive, a little sports car has been nixed and the only other Mitsu being considered for our landmass is the Colt, which, for its stellar fuel economy numbers, looks like a car designed by Pikachu. There's also that matter of declining NA market share in a rising overall market, Mitsubishi's piece of the total pie currently hovering around the 0.4-percent mark according to Automotive News.
The company has decided to do more about it, reassigning Executive Vice President and Head Officer of the Headquarters Product Projects & Strategy Group Gayu Uesugi to be the new chairman of Mitsubishi Motors North America. It will be the first time in five years that someone has filled the chairman position at MMNA.
The hope is that with Uesugi's 35 years with the company, his experience in the company's global product plan and his success in emerging market strategy, he's the man to "[develop] a product plan and growth strategy for the US market" that will put things right. Or at least better. He will work with Yoichi Yokozawa, who has been CEO of MMNA since last year. There are more details on the move in the press release below.
