Only reason for the sale is I'm going back to college and will be living on campus so there wont be much need for it. I bought this car in October of 2012 and ever since then it has been store in a climate controlled garage, and only being driven 1-2 days a week. It is up to date on all services, with existing warranty and has not been abused. The factory options with this car include: Phantom Black paint(only additional cost paint available) Aero Kit package- Front, side, rear airdam; Rear spoiler extension; Brake air guides Sight and Sound Package- Xenon headlights(adjustable), satellite radio, Rockford Fosgate sound system +6 CD changer, fast key system, and larger spoiler There are a couple minor cosmetic changes I made to the car to help with its appearance like 20% tinted windows and plastidipped black wheels. Last summer I took the car down to English Racing who is well known in the industry to have a few modifications done to the car plus get it professionally tuned. Here are the mods: ETS V2 Extreme Exhaust- $850 ETS Test Pipe- $259 ETS Titanium Intake(Custom work)- $500 ETS Titanium Upper Intercooler Pipe- $500 Grimmspeed 3-port Boost Control- $110 Cobb Sport Springs- $375 Cobb Accessport with 2 custom maps from English Racing- $500 That doesnt include the cost of labor or the tune Im sure there are more parts that I cant remember right now that are also on the car With these mods on the Dyno the car made 346awhp and 336awtq Im also willing to sell the car stock, I am willing to coordinate shipping at buyers expense. 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer to shrink
Wed, 24 Oct 2012The aging, oft-forgotten Mitsubishi Lancer won't get a replacement until sometime in 2014, but a new report states that the next-generation model could be a relatively drastic departure from the car you see here. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation President Osamu Masuko told Australian site The Motor Report that the new Lancer will be smaller than the current car, going in a different direction than the vast majority of other automakers.
"The new Lancer will be a very new car, and will be sized somewhere between the current model and its predecessor," Masuko-san told The Motor Report.
There are both pros and cons to this decision. On the plus side, a smaller car means the Lancer will likely have a weight advantage over other vehicles in its class. That said, Mitsubishi will need to find ways to maximize interior space and create efficient packaging in order to still have its compact sedan remain competitive with strong offerings like the Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and so on.
Mitsubishi Evo successor on hold?
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Just take one look at Mitsubishi's latest vehicles, both concept and production, and it's obvious that fuel economy - not performance - reigns supreme. With this in mind, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that Caradvice.com.au is suggesting that Mitsubishi is putting development of future performance models (like the 2013 Lancer Evolution GSR shown above) on hold as the company focuses on electric and plug-in vehicles.
In speaking with Mitsubishi managing director of product projects Ryugo Nakao at the Tokyo Motor Show, the publication says that the entire Lancer redesign is on hold, meaning that the aging Lancer Evo and Ralliart will have to contend with fresh performance models like the Volkswagen GTI and Subaru WRX. That being said, the article doesn't completely shut the door on another Evo - in fact, it goes on to indicate that when a new generation does hit the streets, it will almost certainly do so with some sort of electric-assisted powertrain, an oft-repeated rumor that got its legs as early as 2010.
Mitsubishi Concept GR-HEV brings diesel hybrid efficiency to the pickup game
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Mitsubishi unveiled its Concept GR-HEV at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Branded a "Sport Utility Hybrid Truck," the concept mates a 2.5-liter clean diesel engine with a front-mounted electric motor for a more efficient one-ton pickup. Complete with an automatic transmission mated to a full-time four-wheel-drive system, the GR-HEV is designed to make hybrid technology attractive to buyers beyond the traditional compact car market. Mitsubishi says the vehicle's drivetrain is good for CO2 emissions of 149 grams per kilometer. For comparison's sake, the global 2012 Ford Ranger emits 264 g/km when equipped with the 3.2-liter turbo-diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission.
Designed to be both more simple and less expensive than electric, plug-in hybrid or standard hybrid work vehicles, the GR-HEV would theoretically yield both the instant torque of a hybrid and the range of a traditional diesel.
