1990 Nissan 240 S13 LS1 LS2 LS3 Swap Ready Rolling Chassis
1990 Nissan 240 S13 LS2 rolling chassis. This car is a pro am Drift Car. It previously had a LS2 V8 Engine with T56 transmission. I sold the engine and tranny out of the car. I am building a 350z for this year and no longer will run this car for Pro Am. The car comes with engine mounts and headers fabricated by Turbo Dave out of Atlanta GA. The headers are 1 1/2" Diameter. Drive shaft shop drive shaft and Sikky power steering line. It has cusco control arms and suspension, cross drilled rotors in front with 300z TT calipers, comes with the ASD full rear handbrake kit with Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood rear calipers and brembo rear rotors. The car has 18 inch Sportmax wheels with tires, full cage that is pro am legal, battery was relocated to the rear, has a main kill switch on the front right underneath hood, has HIDs in headlights, custom made front crash bar, oil cooler, has hyper flex polyurethane bushings underneath whole car (subframe, steering rack, sway bar, etc). It also has Megan Racing S14 steering arms, has a 5 switch main panel with 30amp fuses and push start, interior floor of car has linex spray in bedliner type material, has b magic 50mm rear quarter panels, has b magic 20mm front fenders. This car does have very minor damage to right rear quarter panel and tail light. I will include all bumpers and side skirts that I have., which some may be cracked but can possibly be repaired. This car also has sheet metal dash and door panels. Drive Shaft Shop rear axles rated for 600 HP. I will include the blue sparco seat and g force 4 point harness. The black Sparco seat will be used for the new car and sparco harness. Also has SS braided brake lines. New steering rack. 0 gauge power wire. Windshield has crack in it. Welded Diff(has always held up, never any issues). I think this is about it, I dont think I've left anything out but ask any questions if you see something that I did not mention. This will be a great Competition Car for someone that is wanting a LS swapped drift car. Sikky LS swap kits are by far the nicest best thing out there for swapping a LS but also expensive ($2700). ASD Rear Hand Brake set up $950, DSS Axles $500 , Full Cage $1500++ etc etc... You get what I'm trying to say. There is a lot of $$$ invested in this car and is drift ready minus an engine/trans which you can have installed and running by the end of the day and ready to drift by the week end. Also, I am keeping the black sparco seat and harness for my other car I am building, The blue sparco and harness stays in the car. Feel free to call or text me or email with any questions. Price may be somewhat negotiable.

Nissan Patrol attempts Guinness record with 170-ton cargo plane tow
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Yesterday, Nissan teased us with a video showing a Patrol pulling up to a 170-ton cargo plane at an airport in the Middle East - we could only assume that the not-for-America sports utility vehicle would attempt to tow the jet.
Well, somebody leaked the official Nissan video, which indeed shows the Patrol successfully pulling the plane 30 meters for what reportedly is a Guinness world record. While Guinness hasn't confirmed the record on its website at time of writing, the 170-ton jet would be the heaviest plane ever towed by a production automobile. The video was taken down quickly, but another video shot by an observer at the event was posted for our enjoyment. We figured Nissan would move to repost the official video sooner rather than later, and it did.
The Patrol seems to have no problem towing 340,000 pounds, but let's just say it wasn't a quick ordeal. Check out the official and unofficial video of the tow below, as well as Nissan's teaser video. In a reversal of fortunes, we also threw in another, somewhat smaller but perhaps just as impressive vid, just for fun.
2013 Nissan Pathfinder: Wrap-Up [w/video]
Tue, 13 May 2014Despite our tendency as enthusiasts to clamor for things like wagons and hot hatchbacks, it's hard to argue with the buying public's increasing demand for functional crossovers. In fact, the great SUV craze of the late-1990s has all but faded in favor of the easier-driving, better-packaged, more-efficient crossover. That's even true at the larger end of the market - just look at what happened when Ford redesigned its body-on-frame Explorer into a stylish and well-equipped CUV. And now look at the similar success Nissan has had in repurposing its rugged Pathfinder sport-ute as an appealing crossover.
But happily, we report the following line: out of every long-term vehicle Autoblog has ever tested, not a single one has been as in-demand as the 2013 Pathfinder Platinum you see here. After 13 months of solid use, we added 24,372 miles to the Pfinder's odometer - and that's without the vehicle ever leaving the hands of our Detroit-based team (sorry, West Coasters).
There's good reason for that high-demand usage, too. After spending a little over a year with our Mocha Stone tester (a color that earned this Nissan the nickname "Sweet Brown") we came to appreciate its vast versatility, comfort, all-weather prowess, and the way it absolutely ate up the miles on long trips. We drove it all over the United States, in all four seasons, filling it with our families, friends, and occasionally using its capacious cabin for sleeping on the road. Through good and bad, the Pathfinder was a trusty friend. But like any good friendship, that wasn't without a couple of fights.
Ghosn predicts autonomous cars on the roads by 2018, if laws allow
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Things appear to be going well inside Nissan's autonomous vehicle development program. Until now, the automaker believed that self-driving cars would be ready for major markets like the US by 2020. However, Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn is now speeding up that prediction to 2018 in some places, assuming that local laws are ready to accept the computer-controlled vehicles.
"The problem isn't technology, it's legislation, and the whole question of responsibility that goes with these cars moving around," said Ghosn in a speech in France recorded by Reuters. He predicted that the first sales could begin in France, Japan and the US by 2018 and expand elsewhere in 2020.
The alliance has been among the forefront of automakers working on self-driving cars. Nissan has an autonomous Leaf (pictured above) test car that is licensed to drive on Japanese roads. Renault showed off an version of its Zoe EV earlier this year called the Next Two, that could pilot itself at speeds up to 18 miles per hour, and that the company predicted would be ready by 2020.
