I bought this car five years ago with the intention to refurbish it. The car is in decent shape I been using daily to driving about 35 miles each way to work.I had the engine rebuilt by "headway performance". Since then the ac stopped working. Had it recharged and it held it's lbs in the charge but still blows warm. They say it's the vacuum lines which were all redone but might be wrong. The engine was rebuilt with top off line parts everything new except crankshaft. The mechanic that wronged me was the one who pulled the engine and reinstalled it (called "The SHOP" in conneticut, never use them). This car has plenty of upgrades. Garret gt 3076r turbo, sparco intercooler, Jim wolf computer, and Jim wolf 450 hp upgrade, all four z32 calibers drilled slotted rotters, steal brake lines and the list goes on. Here is what the car needs to be mint. A mechanic to figure out the vacume lines, lifters need to be primed(one is tapping), new carpeting, new seats, there is a little rust on back of each quarter, rims need to be powder coated, tires are 50% and also missing triangle piece by side passenger interior mirror. Please call me before u bid so I can explain in more detail 1-917-417-8976, thanx!

2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition loses rear seats, gains performance

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Nissan is adding yet another tier to the GT-R hierarchy for 2014 with the GT-R Track Edition. Debuting at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, the bruiser ditches its back seat in the quest for a lower curb weight, and a set of more seriously bolstered front buckets keep occupants planted once the going gets twisty. The Nürburgring-developed Track Edition offers an integrated carbon fiber front splitter with brake cooling ducts as well as an even harder-core suspension. Engineers swapped the stock bits for special Bilstein DampTronic shocks and paired them with more aggressive springs.
The engine still delivers 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque and still relies on the split-second quickness of the standard GT-R's six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Expect to see just 150 examples of the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition land on American shores starting this May. In the interim, check out the full press release below for more information.

Nissan recalls over 220k Altima sedans over hoods that could fly open

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Nissan will be recalling 220,000 Altima sedans, according to a new recall bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Apparently, model year 2013 Altimas built between March 6, 2012 and February 28, 2013 are at risk of their hoods flying open at speed.
According to NHTSA, debris, corrosion and interference between the hood's inner panel and the secondary latch lever could bind the mechanism in the unlatched position. While this in itself won't cause the hood to fly open - there's still a primary latch that needs released from within the cabin - it presents a potentially dangerous situation should the primary latch be accidentally released.
Nissan will begin notifying owners of the affected vehicles, who will need to report to their local dealer for free repairs. Scroll down for the full bulletin from the government safety watchdog.

Nissan IDx 'in the plan' for production, needs support from fans [w/poll]

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

If there's a trend in the auto industry we can firmly get behind, it's the small, light and affordable rear-drive coupe. The positive critical reception to the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins has encouraged other manufacturers to look at building their own rear drivers, and even a few to show actual concept cars based on the idea. The Chevrolet Code 130R from 2012 and more recently, the Nissan IDx twins that were first shown at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show both come to mind, as does the brand-new Kia GT4 Stinger Concept.
Nissan trotted out the IDx Nismo and the IDx Freeflow for another showing in Detroit and we'll admit to being totally smitten with both cars. Again. The duo draw inspiration from the iconic Datsun 510, a lightweight, affordable rear-driver that remains a cult favorite decades after production ended.
Now, a report from our friends at AutoWeek reveals that we may, possibly, hopefully see a production IDx, provided fans make a strong enough case for it. "It's in the plan," Nissan product boss Andy Palmer told AW. According to the report, Palmer said the IDx is "into the first sage of the development process. The next stage is project validation and then looking at the business case. It's no one's intent to waste millions of the company's money, so obviously we have a good feeling about this one."
