The previous owner parked the car for many years until he sold it. Once I got the vehicle I replaced a few things here and there over the years. I have driven the car daily at periods. Overall I have not driven the car very much and I hope whoever buys it will drive the car more to enjoy it. The car runs and drives good. Car is still running stock boost and boost good. The car handles and rides good. Transmission shifts smooth. I have driven the car on a few long distance trips. The engine does run good but could always use a tune up. The engine runs on all cylinders and does not misfire. I have change somethings over the years but no longer have time to enjoy it. The AC was converted to R134a using new AC lines with the correct fittings. New AC Dryer and expansion valve was installed. The AC blows ice cold. All of the electronics in the vehicle work including the power folding mirrors. The daytime running fog lights work also. The factory radio however does not work. The exterior of the car is in decent shape. Paint overall is pretty good but does have a couple of dings and chips. Paint on the passenger side skirt looks like it spider up when painting. Interior needs TLC. The dash does have a crack. The interior is pretty much original and needs some TLC to get it looking like new again. Nissan Quest under investigation for inaccurate fuel gauges
Fri, 16 May 2014After receiving 12 complaints in the last 14 months, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has begun a preliminary investigation into a fuel gauge issue with the 2007 Nissan Quest. Drivers have reported that the fuel level gauge will show there's gas in the tank when there actually isn't - in two cases, the digital distance-to-empty gauge indicated more than 70 miles of remaining range - and it will stall out.
This is the second time the 2007-model-year Quest has been involved in the same fuel gauge issue. In 2010 Nissan recalled seven models, including the Quest, from the 2005-2008 model years because of faulty fuel readings. The 12 vehicles in this latest complaint could have slipped through the cracks then, but we'll find out more when NHTSA updates its progress with the investigation into the estimated 37,656 units.
2014 Nissan Juke Nismo RS priced from $26,120*
Fri, 28 Feb 2014We'll admit, we're quite excited about the Nissan Juke Nismo RS, especially now that its price has been revealed. For $26,120, you can get the sharpest, sportiest Juke outside of the over-caffeinated, 545-horsepower Juke R.
That base price reflects the cost of the Juke Nismo RS you really want - the front-drive model, complete with six-speed manual. Snagging an all-wheel-drive, CVT-equipped version will cost an extra $2,000. Those prices don't include an *$810 destination charge.
The Juke Nismo RS boasts an extra 18 hp and 26 pound-feet of torque over the 197-hp Juke Nismo, thanks to things like a new exhaust. The big, must-have feature, though, are the Recaro thrones fitted in the front of the RS. As we said when the hot Juke debuted in LA last year, the seats alone may be worth upgrading to the RS model.
Nissan Qashai gets the Juke R treatment
Thu, 03 Oct 2013It would appear that we're a little behind the times on this one, but a UK-based tuner of the Nissan GT-R is creating its own take on the lustworthy Juke-R starting with the Nissan Qashqai crossover. Severnvalley Motorsport claims to be the leading authority for tuning of the current GT-R in Europe. The outfit is now turning its attention to stuffing the drivetrain of a GT-R under the body of a Qashqai+2 - a seven-passenger compact crossover similar in size to our Nissan Rogue - resulting in the Qashqai-R.
The project started back in March when Severnvalley took delivery of a new Qashqai. After stripping the crossover down to its bare essentials and building a custom jig to support the body shell, it was then transferred onto an awaiting GT-R chassis. The crew aimed to keep Qashqai's appearance as stock as possible, but fender extensions and hood vents were required to accommodate the sports car underpinnings.
The white Qashqai-R seen above will be tuned to produce 900 horsepower, while a black version will get bumped up to 1,000 hp. And, looking at the build photos, we surmise that this project will take nothing less than a herculean feat of supercar determination before it's through.
