This is a low mile, one owner, 50th Anniversary Edition 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. It runs and drives 100%, has plenty of power, is fun to drive and is being sold with no reserve.

Way ahead of it's time, this special 1984 vehicle really rolls. The 3.0L six cylinder turbo charged engine purrs along without a miss or smoke. It generates 200 HP @ 5200 RPMs and 227 ft. lbs. torque @ 3600 RMPs. It has electric fuel injection. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation. The brakes, 3 way adjustable suspension and steering are all good. No exhaust leaks.

The exterior is in good condition for the age. It may have a small scratch here or there but it has no major dents or dings. No body rust. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have plenty of tread (see pic). No windshield chips or cracks. The lights and lenses are bright and clear. It has the removable glass T-Tops. It comes with extra rear wheel fender flairs (see pic).

The interior is also in good condition for the age. There are the original 50th Anniversary floor mats. The power options such as windows, side mirrors, etc. work as designed. There is the original Clarion 8 speaker AM/FM cassette stereo. It has the voice warning system. It has cruise and radio controls on the steering wheel. It has the "Body-Sonic" seats with 8 Bass speakers and air inflation bladders. The dash has digital instrumentation and accelerometer. The compass does not work.

This is a very special Nissan since only about 5000 of these cars were made. We have all the service records including the owner's manual and window sticker showing a $25,999 sale price when new. There are no mechanical issues we can see with this vehicle and there is no indication of any impending problems. The new owner will be able to drive it home, with confidence, no matter where they live.

This quality one owner classic is being sold by a Maryland Used Car Dealer. We require, on ALL internet sales, a $200 internet auction fee which covers document, clerical, airport transportation, IT support and all other auction related expenses. This fee covers our fixed expenses and allows us to sell with no reserve. We offer, with proof of insurance, a 60 day temporary tag for $50.

This is a NO RESERVE auction which means that the high bidder, at auction end, must purchase the vehicle. Only bid if you intend to buy and you understand the payment procedure. All non-paying bidders will be reported to Ebay. IF THE DEPOSIT IS NOT RECEIVED WITHIN THE 24 HOURS AS REQUIRED WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RELIST AND REPORT AN UNPAID BIDDER TO EBAY. We try to describe all vehicles accurately. For questions call 410 251-7326 Thanks.

MARYLAND RESIDENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE THIS VEHICLE MARYLAND INSPECTED SINCE IT QUALIFIES FOR HISTORIC REGISTRATION. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDED.

Nissan's Ghosn called out by Deltawing's Panoz in print ad

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

When the Nissan ZEOD RC limped to the side of the Circuit de la Sarthe a mere five laps into this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, we imagine that a certain American motorsports figure at least smirked a little. Don Panoz's ongoing feud with Nissan probably means he wasn't sorry to see the arrow-shaped racecar's poor showing, and now he's stepping up his campaign against his former racing partner.
For those who need a refresher, back in 2012, Panoz and Nissan teamed up to field the DeltaWing, an innovative, wedge-shaped racer, as the first entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans' experimental Garage 56 concept. The car rapidly became a fan favorite. The Panoz/Nissan alliance didn't last, though, and before long, the DeltaWing's designer was getting a paycheck from Nissan and the ZEOD RC racer arrived. Shortly after that, Panoz began mulling over a lawsuit alleging intellectual property infringement. The American motorsports icon would eventually pull the trigger on a suit back in December of 2013.
Panoz's latest move in the ongoing feud involves an open letter in both The Nashville Tennessean, the paper that serves Nissan's US headquarters, and trade paper Automotive News. The letter calls out Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn directly, and points out some of the similarities between the DeltaWing and the ZEOD RC, going so far as to quote the original car's designer, Ben Bowlby.

2014 Nissan Rogue gives us our best look yet

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Nissan is reportedly fast-tracking the development of its next-generation Rogue crossover, and judging by this latest set of spy shots, the new small CUV is coming along quite nicely.
To no one's surprise, the new Rogue takes the vast majority of its design cues from the Hi-Cross concept that debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and specific elements like the pronounced wheel arches, angular nose, flat roofline and more stylized taillmaps should make for a Rogue that's far more style conscious than the model it replaces. This stronger design language should help the new Rogue to better stand out in the sea of Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 rivals.
There's far more to the new Rogue than just some swoopier sheetmetal, though. This crossover is expected to be the first vehicle to ride on the Renault-Nissan CMF (Common Module Family) platform, an architecture flexible enough to eventually support a host of new products. As we reported earlier, the next Rogue will be built in the US, in Tennessee.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
