2004 Nissan Maxima Se Sedan 4-door 3.5l - Parts Only - No Title on 2040-cars

This vehicle was serviced at the repair facility that does all the repairs on my vehicles. I am listing the car for that person because I am familiar with ebay. Here is all that is know about this Maxima: It was towed from a Nissan Dealer as an abandon vehicle. From what I understand (this could be true or not) it was brought to the dealer because it did not run. MANY hours of diagnosis were spent and parts were purchased but the owner of the car refused to authorize the amount of money required to get it running and also refused to pay the diagnosis on the vehicle. There are multiple computers on the passenger seat (at least one looks like it came from a junk yard). A lot of the car has been disassembled (as you can see from the pictures) due to a technician tracing wires etc. The car was not in an accident and the parts are able to be put back on such as bumper cover etc. The engine cranks over, seems like it has good compression however does not run. The battery is dead. The car is dirty. It has damage (also in pictures). I cannot tell you anything about what is wrong with the car (no fuel, no spark etc). Carfax shows 1 accident on 5/20/07 and 2 total owners. I will be happy to answer any questions if I am able but I do not know much of the history on this car. It can be seen during normal working hours and is located in Ware, MA. This auction has no reserve and will be sold to the highest bidder. I will not be providing or arranging any kind of transportation so that must be taken care of by the buyer. Again, this car can NOT be registered and has no title. Nissan GT-R and Ferrari 458 Speciale in track battle by Evo
Thu, 14 Aug 2014Supercar slayer. That's what they call the Nissan GT-R. And in many ways it is, even though its price and performance over the years have risen to put it squarely in supercar territory of its own right.
In fact, as Evo magazine has been compiling a list of its fastest cars - using the Anglesey Circuit in Wales as its common ground - the GT-R has came out on top... that is, until Evo tested the Ferrari 458 Speciale. The two are about as different as you can get within the supercar segment: one has a turbo six up front driving all four wheels in a 2+2 configuration, the other a mid-engined, rear-drive V8 two-seater. In fact the only common ground you're likely to find between them comes down to their two doors and dual-clutch transmissions. Though they serve it up in different ways, both are class-leading performers.
We're looking forward to watching Evo populate its leaderboard with more entries like the McLaren 650S and more potent Nismo GT-R, but in the meantime the British enthusiast magazine, by popular demand, has released side-by-side in-car footage of both supercars putting their best lap forward around the seaside circuit.
Modified Trabant takes on Nissan GT-R in 1/4-mile battle
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The little yellow guy in the right lane above with the "Flitzer" license plate looks like a Trabant 601 wagon and it's called a Trabant, but it's got little to do with the impoverished East German runabout that did its part to drive Communist ideals further into the ground. You'd almost be forgiven for not knowing there's a turbocharged 3.0-liter engine up front, until you have look at that rear track... and the wheelie bars in back.
So with a power-to-weight ratio akin to an LS9-powered scooter, it's no surprise that the Trabbi puts a pasting on a slightly tuned, 580-horsepower Nissan GT-R - we don't know what happened with Godzilla's shifting, but it was all over from the hole shot. It's still fun to watch, though, and you can do that in the video below.
Nissan's NY taxi deal faces court obstacles
Sat, 25 May 2013Nissan scored a big win for itself when the NV200 was named New York City's Taxi of Tomorrow, but the compact van has been under attack ever since. The latest setback for Nissan comes from the New York Supreme Court, which has reportedly ruled the deal between NYC and Nissan is "null, void and unenforceable" since the NV200 is not a hybrid - one of the key parts of NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg Taxi of Tomorrow plan.
The NV200 Taxi launches this October. Although Nissan says it is bringing a hybrid version of the van to market in 2015, the New York Supreme Court ruled against Nissan, which opens the door for taxi companies in NYC to drive non-Nissan hybrid vehicles. Despite this setback, it doesn't sound like this ruling will affect the NV200 becoming the official taxi of NYC as a part of the 10-year contract worth an estimated $1 billion.
