Low mileage! This White and Chrome Cargo Van will take your construction business to the next level of class and security. It creates an image that sets the professionalism of your business apart from the crowd when you drive onto a customer jobsite.
And on the practical side, the custom-added interior storage racks provides plenty of room for keeping your business tools organized while giving lots of floor space for hauling heavy equipment as well as electrical outlets to do your best work.

This Van has the SV PACKAGE--meaning it is NOT THE BASE MODEL. It includes the SV package technology items in the bulleted list below (including chrome front, amped-up sound, navigation system package and 4 rear backup camera parking system to name a few features in this package).

An ADDITIONAL INVESTMENT of $5,000 was made for extra items like soundproofing pads on the walls; ladder racks (without locks), and the LoJack anti-theft monitoring system (which adds extra protection and is transferable to you as the new owner). As you can see in the pictures, the top ladder racks are installed (ladders in pictures not sold with vehicle).
Some of the SV features include. . .

• Power seats
• Tinted rear window for security of your stuff and with theft break in prevention bars
• Automatic (with optional lower gears) and V6 Engine
• Cruise control
• Wheel touch electronic system
• 323 CU FT Cargo space
• Wide open 243 degree rear doors
• Generator when car running -- outlet for 110 power tools
• Backup camera
• Security -- conventional security alarm system (extra Low Jack system adds more options)

It has only 20,666 miles and gets around 17-18mpg on hills and 20+ interstate

Bought new as a carpentry car, but segmenting into other business so need to sell. Note: the spare key is broken and will need replaced.

Nissan details Craigslist 1996 Maxima restoration

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

"Luxury Defined," in the most ironic sense the galaxy has ever known, is now "Luxury Restored," in the real and incredible sense. Last September, Luke Aker made ads to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE, the YouTube version being a mix truth, bombast, a British accent and a ratchet strap. The ad tickled Nissan such that it bought the car from Akes and made a donation to a charity of his choice. Then they consulted with the citizens of the Internet to decide what to do with it, the final vote being a complete restoration and display at the company's Nashville HQ.
Friends, Netizens, countrymen, the job is done. Nicknamed "Old Glory," comparing the old car with the new is like reading one of those shelter dog rescue stories where the loving family nurses an impossibly cute pup back to health with handheld nursing sessions, baby bottles of warm milk and whispered lullabies. Only Nissan probably didn't sing to the Maxima.
The Maxima is now on display, and we hope they've hung the ratchet strap with it. You can see Aker's new video on the transformation above, plus another video and press release below detailing the Maxima's journey back to New Glory.

Next Nissan GT-R to take cues from GT-R LM Nismo Le Mans entry

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

For those wondering why Nissan named its coming Le Mans Prototype the GT-R LM Nismo, colliding the two worlds of sports car and prototype racing, an article in Autocar might have the answer. The deeper union is explained by saying that the next-generation GT-R will use "hybrid technology that will closely align it" with the GT-R LM Nismo.
The point could be further driven home by the fact that the GT-R LM Nismo will begin its FIA endurance racing campaign next year, and the next GT-R is due to debut next year as a 2016 model. The expectation is that it will use a hybrid system possibly dubbed R-Hybrid and perhaps developed by Williams. Just like performance car makers Ferrari and Audi, Nissan wants its racing efforts to pay off with road car technology, company vice president Andy Palmer saying they "want to link technological linkages between future evolutions of the GT-R and evolutions of what we do in LMP1, and the two do go in both directions."
The bigger question is, with the GT-R getting hybrid assistance, will it also get the weight gain that usually comes with it? Enthusiasts would love to see the trend reversed, especially on a car that's already no lightweight.

Meet Sparky, Nissan's Leaf-based, Frontier-bedded EV parts hauler [w/video]

Thu, 18 Sep 2014

For many enthusiasts, the concept of the ute - a car with a pickup bed - is somehow irresistibly appealing. On paper, it promises the marriage of a truck's utility and a car's superior driving dynamics, and for that reason alone, we'd love to see more of them. Yet while other parts of the world get them in good numbers, North America doesn't ever see them - at least not for long. Based on what we've seen of late, though, that's not due to a lack of motivation on the part of engineers.
BMW wowed us several years ago with an M3 ute, and earlier this year, some interns converted a Mini Paceman into the pickup-bodied Paceman Adventure. Loathe to let their rivals in Munich and Oxford have all the fun, Nissan has built its very own car-based pickup. Meet Sparky, the world's first Leaf Frontier.
Like the M3, this all-electric ute is used as a parts hauler for Nissan's engineering teams at its sprawling Stanfield, AZ tech center and proving grounds.
