I bought this vehicle in February 2012, I am a second owner. The title is salvage, I hit a deer in November of 2012. It hit on the drivers side right at the front corner.

The vehicle pros are:
4 new tires less than 6 months old
6 cd mp3 player
Amazing gas mileage
Runs great
Fold down back seats
Hatchback
Rims not hubcaps (no pesky hub cabs coming off)

Cons:
Needs new front bumper cover
Dent in hood
Dents in rear quarter panel

I don't have the time or money to replace the parts on the vehicle. I took it to a certified repair place for a quote. 650 for full bumper cover replacement, including parts, painting, installation. I did not receive quotes on the hood or quarter panel as they didn't bug me enough to repair. I was told the bumper cover is very easy to replace it just snaps right on the clips (doing it myself would run me around 150-300, depending on if I found a bumper cover I needed to paint or not). The hood dent can be popped out.

This car has been nothing but reliable. The only issue is if you don't screw on the gas cap all the way the check engine light will come on for about 2 weeks and then go away. It really freaked me out at first but the mechanic I took it to said that it happens with a lot of newer vehicles and it wasn't an issue.

Like I mentioned the tires are new and have about 1000 miles on them.

Nissan recalls over 120,000 Altimas due to... spare tire inflation?!

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

A pressure regulator that over- or underinflated spare tires for five days earlier this year has led to a recall of 123,308 units of the 2013 Nissan Altima. Sedans that were manufactured from March 21-26 are those possibly affected by the temporary tire snafu, the recall for which will begin on May 3.
Those notified of the issue can take their sedans to their local Nissan dealer, who will check the tire pressure and correct it if necessary, but we imagine owners can probably just whip out a tire gauge to check and adjust the inflation for themselves. Should you need it, there's an official notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with a few more details.

2013 Nissan Juke Nismo is the runabout we've always wanted

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

The 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo has officially bowed at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show. Wearing a full body kit that serves up 37-percent more downforce than the standard front and rear fascias, the tuned hatchback also comes equipped with larger 18-inch wheels and a lowered suspension. Up front, LED daytime running lights join the festivities as well as contrasting side-view mirror covers and wider fender flares. Inside, buyers can expect to find a new sports steering wheel clad in Alcantara, as well as a set of Nismo seats stitched with red accents.
Nismo also cranked up the power on the Juke's turbocharged direct-injection 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The Juke Nismo delivers 197 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, compared to the 188 hp and 177 lb-ft available in stock configuration. Buyers can have the engine with either a six-speed manual transmission or CVT gearbox, and the Juke Nismo can also be had with either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Check out the full press release below for more information.

Nissan does its best Google Glass impression with 3E headgear [w/video]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

The jury may still be out on whether it'll be legal to drive with Google Glass on your nose, but that doesn't mean automakers are going to sit around waiting to see which way the wind blows in one jurisdiction or another. Mercedes-Benz, for example, is already working on ways to integrate its infotainment system into Google Glass, but Nissan is taking things a step further by developing its own wearable tech.
The device is called Nissan 3E, and we don't have much information to go on at this point - just a couple of images, a terse press release and the highly stylized (and rather painful-looking) video below. The Japanese automaker lists internet connectivity and communication as the primary features. But we'd have to assume that, if an automaker is developing it, the device would have some relevance to, you know... driving.
The possibilities are endless, extending from turn-by-turn directions and track information to vehicle metrics and intuitive control of the car's auxiliary controls. We'll have to wait until we get to Tokyo to find out more, but between this and the smartwatch concept it revealed in Frankfurt, Nissan seems to be on a bit of a gadget streak lately.
