2000 Nissan Xterra SE 4x4 Alpine Metallic Green. NJ inspection good to 10/13, clean and clear NJ title. I am the second owner. Excellent AutoCheck report.  Completely stock no alterations, reliable. Very nice condition, body is free of rust and dents. Only a couple very small dings and scratches as expected. Non smoker car, no odors. Well maintained with Mobil 1 oil. Currently has 109,7xx miles but there may be more due to minimal driving before time of sale. Has the following options:

3.3L V6 engine, runs great. 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive, shifts smooth. Driver/pass air bags, cruise control, power locks, windows, mirrors. Factory AM/FM/CD with new Kenwood front speakers. Gray cloth interior in very good condition, no tears, dirt or stains. Included factory floor mats have usual wear. Rear fold down seat backs. The rear cargo area is clean and stain free with a Weather Tech liner. All the proper tools, spare tire, jack and cargo cover are in place. Does not have the factory first aid kit on the rear hatch. Cargo area has a 12V power socket. Tinted rear glass. Heat and A/C both work cold and hot.
4x4 works great, all the trucks electrical and lighting works proper. 2 New head light bulbs, new 3rd light tail bulbs. Has new front and rear wiper blades, oil good for at least another 2000mi.
Has brand new Interstate battery, rear shocks, ignition distributor, cap and rotor.

Things I think will need attention:
front shocks need to be replaced soon.
BF Goodrich tires have about 10k miles left.
The ABS brake light is on. It was on when I bought the car. My mechanic says its likely a wheel speed sensor and not worth fixing regarding safety. It has had no effect on the braking so I left it alone. That being said, I assume it could be any error in the anti lock braking system that could have set the light to turn on.

Car is sold as is with no returns, sale is final, please ask all questions or come see it for yourself before bidding. The car is located in Edgewater NJ and can be shown by appointment. Please make sure you have funds in place before bidding. A $500 paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of the sale. Cash balance due at pick up of vehicle. Buyer is responsible for pick up or transportation. I will help to load the truck if your having a shipper pick up.

I can provide more pictures or detailed info at your request. Thanks for looking!

Nissan gets new NA boss, lowered forecasts in management shakeup

Sat, 02 Nov 2013

José Muñoz, a Nissan and Infiniti sales and marketing vice president, will replace Colin Dodge as Nissan's new North America chief, come Jan. 1, as part of a wide-ranging management shuffle, Automotive News reports. Dodge will remain on Nissan's board, be assigned to special projects and report directly to CEO Carlos Ghosn.
Nissan is working on reorganizing its global operations into six regions, each with a new chief: North America (Muñoz' territory), Latin America, Japan-Southeast Asia, China, Europe and Africa-India-Middle East. Currently Nissan divides the globe into three regions, the Americas, Europe-Africa-India-Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Nissan also lowered its sales forecast from 5.3-million vehicles to 5.2 million for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2014. Last year, the company sold 4.914 million in the same period. In May, after Nissan's market share had fallen to 7.7 percent, Ghosn said he wants to double sales in the US by 2017 and increase its market share in the country to 10 percent.

How and why Nissan nearly killed off Infiniti

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

Launched in 1990, Infiniti was expected to be Japan's answer to BMW (Lexus would end up chasing Mercedes-Benz). Yet things went awry almost right out of the gate. Overlooking the fledgling automaker's now infamous early marketing campaign, its product line over the past twenty-four years has been a roller coaster ride of strong hits (Q45, FX35 and G35) and frustrating misses (M30, I30 and QX4).
In a recent interview with Ward's Auto at the Detroit Auto Show, Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer revealed that the company's luxury brand was almost cancelled by CEO Carlos Ghosn as unnecessary. Infiniti, like most premium marques owned by a volume manufacturer, had fallen into the trap of losing autonomy and pushing its high-end product just like its mainstream models.
The one obvious exception to this industry blunder, said Palmer, was VW Group's Audi brand. Realizing that Audi's impressive comeback over the past two decades shamed even that of actor Robert Downey Jr., Nissan hired Audi veteran Johan de Nysschen to bring Infiniti to its intended glory - and protect it from extinction. Panoz and DeltaWing suing Nissan over BladeGlider concept

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

Similarity is bound to occur in an industry where most of the products follow the same basic formula. But once in a while a new design comes along that doesn't quite reinvent the wheel, but comes pretty damn close. The DeltaWing project was one such design - and Nissan, the car's designers allege, stole that design.
After the DeltaWing proposal was rejected by the IndyCar series, its creators took it to Le Mans and brought Nissan on board to supply the power. Nissan subsequently pulled out of the program and came out with the ZEOD RC hybrid racer (right), bearing a suspiciously similar design with an unusually narrow front track at the end of a long nose cone, and a wider track at the back. The Japanese automaker then displayed the BladeGlider concept (below, right) at the Tokyo Motor Show, envisioning a translation of the same formula into road-going form.
The similarity did not escape Don Panoz, who - after making sports and racing cars under his own name and founding the now-defunct American Le Mans Series - was a central figure in bringing the original DeltaWing to life. Now Panoz has filed a lawsuit against Nissan, soliciting the courts to issue a cease-and-desist order on both the ZEOD RC and BladeGlider projects, naming Nissan motorsport chief Darren Cox and Ben Bowlby (who defected to Nissan from the DeltaWing program) as part of the suit.
