2000 Nissan Xterra Xe, No Reserve on 2040-cars

Westbury, New York, United States

Hello there and thank you for looking and bidding. I bought this new in 1999 and it currently has 161,000 miles on it. Faithful oil changes and regular maintenance have served me well over the 14 year life of this vehicle. This vehicle has the normal wear and tear one would find on a 14 year old SUV. Over the past few years I have had replaced by the dealer; Radiator, Head Gaskets, Rear seal, oil pan, valve cover gaskets, water pump, clutch, heater hoses, brakes, and had the timing belt replaced as required at just over 100,000 miles. I also replaced the factory radio/cd player with an aftermarket stereo-cd player as well as replacing the factory speakers. It has BF Goodrich 31.X 10.50 Radial All-Terrain Tires all around with less than 10,000 miles on them. In 2002 I hit a deer which required the replacement of the passengers side fender and grill guard. The drivers seat has wear and tear which is why I have the seat cover on it, but it is not torn to shreds. Has working A/C and power locks, although you have to manually lock the vehicle. The rear seats fold down for more storage space. I am not a car dealer, just a person trying to place my XTERRA in the hands of someone who will get more years of use and enjoyment out of it. Smoke and pet free home if that is important to you. Contact me if you have any questions. You will have no problem buying this and driving anywhere in the USA. My loss is your gain, which is what EBAY is all about - the bargain. I have looked on Craigslist and here on EBAY for similar vehicles. Dealers want Barrett-Jackson money, or there are major league issues. I am listing for a fair price, or throw me a reasonable offer. I require a PAYPAL down payment of $100.00 and per EBAY Rules, payment by cashiers check is required. Cash in hand never hurts either. Clear NY State Title. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping needs if needed. Selling locally also.

Check out Nissan's clever digital Smart Rearview Mirror

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

Using cameras in place of a car's rearview mirrors has long been a feature of pie-in-the-sky concept cars, although so far, it's failed to translate into the world of production vehicles. Nissan is looking to change that, though, with its new Smart Rearview Mirror.
With a flick of a switch, drivers can jump back and forth between what they'd normally see through the rearview mirror and the camera's feed from the back of the car.
The Smart Rearview Mirror blends everything we know about traditional reflective glass mirrors with a video feed from the rear of the car into a form factor that's immediately recognizable to the average motorist. With a flick of a switch, drivers can jump back and forth between what they'd normally see through the rearview mirror and the camera's feed from the back of the car. The mirror itself features an integrated LCD display with a four-to-one aspect ratio.

Carlos Ghosn returns as president of ACEA

Tue, 13 May 2014

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (abbreviated ACEA in French) is an industry group representing all the biggest automakers in Europe, representing their common interests on the world stage. And as such it needs a leader, figurehead and mouthpiece to serve as its president, and for the second time the association's board of directors has chosen Carlos Ghosn.
Now if you're recognizing Ghosn as the CEO of Nissan and wondering what that has to do with European cars, it's not because Nissan manufactures much in Europe. In fact, it only operates has a handful of locations in Europe: one in the UK, one in Barcelona and one in St Petersburg. But you'd be wise to recall that Ghosn also serves as CEO of Renault, one of the biggest players in European automobile manufacturing. He also sits on the boards at Russian automaker AvtoVAZ (of which Renault owns 25 percent) and of his native Brazil's Banco Itaú, not to mention the advisory councils of a handful of universities - two of them from his ancestral hometown of Beirut. He previously served as president of ACEA in 2009, and was re-elected to replace outgoing PSA chairman Philippe Varin.
Alongside Renault, ACEA membership includes BMW, Daimler, Fiat, Jaguar Land Rover, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Volkswagen and Volvo, along with the European divisions of Ford, General Motors, Hyundai and Toyota, as well as a handful of truck manufacturers.

2014 Nissan Versa Note

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

The original Austin Mini was not designed as a fun-to-drive, sporty small car. Its go-kart-like handling and general chuckability were an unintended byproduct of essential aspects of its design. Its four wheels were pushed to the absolute corners of the car to maximize interior space, and its front-wheel-drive layout and transversely mounted engine were in contrast to the rear-wheel-drive, longitudinal layouts of the day.
The result was a highly economical car with space for four and some luggage that just happened to be an absolute hoot to drive. Nissan has followed a similar path in the design of its Versa Note, which strives to provide the maximum amount of space and efficiency in a minimal footprint. On this front, it's successful.
First, we must salute Nissan for departing from the styling of the malformed kidney bean it calls the Versa Sedan. The Versa Note is a fashionably conservative design that neither offends nor excites. The front fascia is arguably its most conservative point, with high-mounted headlights and a sharper, cleaner version of Nissan's familial grille. The tail, with its funky I-don't-know-what-shape-I-am taillights contributes most of the car's flair. The large, spacious greenhouse, particularly up front, keeps passengers from feeling hemmed-in while letting in plenty of light.
