1970 Plymouth Roadrunner383 engine with less than 200 miles on it. Professionally rebuilt by Davis Machine Shop in Paris KY. Transmission Professionally rebuilt with less than 200 miles on it. New 4:11 gears. Car has 42k miles on it. Speedometer is off because of the gears in car. Fuel, temp, oil pressure gauge in dash dont work. I havent had time to go thru dash yet. Pics of hole in the seat are below. And dash pad cracked. Car runs and drives great.New parts include the following Gas tank, sending unit, leaf springs, shocks, front disc brake conversion, full flowmaster exhaust with original style tips, inner and outer door handles, arm-rest and chrome plastic pieces behind arm-rest, window cranks, weather stripping and door moldings, head liner not installed, head lights, head light rings, fender marker lights, front tires, master cylinder, front brake lines, distribution block, rear axle brake lines, brake shoes and hard ware, wheel cylinders, door locks and trunk lock, bumper brackets and botls. Car still does need some work and is nott complete.

Engine has been bored out and everything inside of engine is brand new except for crank. Has msd 6al box, pro billet msd distibutor, aluminum valve covers, aluminum radiator, flex fan, edelbrock carb and intake, new engine bay wiring harness.

I have had the car since i was 11 years old and recieved it in my mom and dads divorce. I have put every penny in this car and alot of hard work. I have pics from were the car had quarter panels and the panel behind the rear window in the early 80's and then it set in our garage until 2001 when I got it. The car is in excellent shape and can be driven. interior is the only thing that needs a little tlc.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
