This car has all new floor pans and trunk pans.I have new NOS front fender on right side and the left was patched at the bottom with a lower panel repop.The car was in pretty good shape when I started the restoration and started great.It's in paint right now but the cousin of mine that was paid to do this work did it in sections so there is a slight color difference and needs to be scruffed up and shot again.The engine I would rebuild and that's $1700.00 and the carbs are in good shape for rebuilding.The center carb works but the other 2 have minor issues.The body is as straight as new.He did a great job on that but in turn I bought the best that I could find! You see I was collecting parts for this car for 4 years and was going to be the last one I did and wanted a A+ driver.The interior needs redone all the seats,panels and trim is there.I have a rebuilt radio still in the box.This car has a reverbarator in the trunk.I have new sill plates that will go with it,brakeline,brakeshoes,wheel cylinders and a couple of extra front drums with new wheel bearings.I bought those just to have.I have new hood insulation and I believe some rubber and a new glove box insert.It is missing some trim like the hood piece and some side moldings.This is stuff he didn't return to me.I priced it out and it was like $4750.00.Oh yes the grill inserts are here and I have new tail and turn signal lenses.With everything I have over 12 grand in the car but due to the garbage I had to put up with I've lost interest in this car.My loss your gain! I believe that I've listed everything correctly to the best of my memory and if anything was left out it wasn't intentional.Oh yes the bumbers need rechroming but are good cores.I use the bumber boyz .THIS IS NOT A BONNEVILLE IT"S A VENTURA just didn't have a place for ventura on drop down.Any questions please call Ron @ 312 909 6526. Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall
Wed, 09 Apr 2014General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.
