Up for sale is my 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT , I've owned for over three years now. It has received tons of new parts , maintenance and love over the years. It is super clean inside and out , runs smooth and quite , the car is mostly original. The car was originally grey , but was repainted GM red sometime in the 90's / early 2000's , it looks great!

The car has the pop-out sunroof , speaker seats , power windows , power decklid release , cruise control , power door locks , intermittent windshield wipers , rear window defroster , tilt wheel and Air Conditioning equipped. I have installed an IMSA wraparound spoiler.

The V6 engine runs excellent and has 118K on the clock , all primarily highway miles , no leaks or smoke. I drive this car frequently to Pennsylvania and New York which is close to 300 miles each way with no issues. The Fiero was primarily stored in a garage most of it's life and returns to the garage in the winter time , it is a smoker free car.

Over the years the Fiero has received new parts , which includes the following.
-New Alternator.
-New Starter Motor.
-Brakes all round ( Calipers , Pads , rotors , bearings , hoses )
-Clutch.
-Clutch slave cylinder.
-Full tuneup service with genuine AC Delco parts.
-Exide Battery & new battery cables.
-Polyurethane "Dog bone" engine mount.
-Polyurethane Cradle bushings.
-Polyurethane Sway bar links and rubber bushings.
-Shocks & Struts.
-Steering stabilizer.
-Rebuilt Headlight motors.
-Window seals.
-Alignment.
-Oxygen Sensor.
-Various engine management sensors.
-Water Pump & Thermostat.
-Low temperature fan switch.
etc

I have numerous parts to go with the car including , new sail panels , spare headlight motors , spare intake plenum , various moldings , windshield rubber molding etc.

There are some minor paint chipping around the sunroof , windshield and on the Aero nose , the seat upholstery backrest is torn , and the temperature gauge is inaccurate.
The car needs some minor TLC , but nothing is stopping it from a nice road trip.

Turn heads 80's style today!

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."

Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
