1988 Pontiac Fiero Gt Coupe 2-door 2.8l on 2040-cars
Canton, Illinois, United States
This auction is for a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. We are a Buick GMC dealer. We were a Pontiac dealer before our government killed Pontiac. We sold this Pontiac Fiero new in 1988 and it returned to us some time in the 90s and has been in storage ever since. The Fiero has 56k miles on it so it has been driven but is still in nice condition. The only defect I have seen are the drivers rear window and the plastic engine vent covers. The window has a small crack at the top and film fading on the very bottom. It would need replaced to be perfect. The paint is faded on the plastic engine covers so they would need repainted. The car runs great it was always stored with stabil in the fuel system. I did not find any problems with the mechanicals of the car. The real bonus of the auction is the Fiero collectables a former Fiero owner collected for us to give away with the car. If you buy the car we will include every book, manual, and Fiero memorabilia we have. This is a large collection of Fiero items. They include many shirts, hats, 3 jackets, books manuals, window stickers, patches and much more. This is a unique oppertunity to own these rare items. If you have any questions please call us at Davis Buick GMC 309-647-1212 ask For Cole in the parts department. On May-08-14 at 14:45:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Ebay would only allow me so many pics. So if anyone need specific pics of car or items on table let me know and i can email them thanks.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC
Thu, 06 Feb 2014We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
