Hello, This is a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA.NO MOTOR. It has a 700r4 trans, 9 bolt posi rear,3.27 gear, 4wheel disc brakes t-tops and a full black interior in really nice shape with overhead console and digital dash. The dash pad is mint. I bought the car with a bad 5.7 tpi motor with hopes of fixing it up. I pulled the motor with all wiring in good condition and labled all connections.I put on new rear shocks, performance panhard bar, motor mounts, and had subframe connectors welded on.It has new rubber front brake lines and ceramic pads.It has 16x8 black GTA wheels and really nice condition 255/50/16 Goodyear Eagle vr50 tires on all 4 corners.Digital readout showed 66,000 miles on it.The paint doesn't appear to be original and does have some blemishes and small scratches but cleans up well. It had a gray hood and missing rear wing when i got it. Clear Illinois title..I just dont have the time or money to finish it. Please ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking..

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
