2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 5.7l Ws6 Ram Air on 2040-cars
Eaton, Ohio, United States
This Trans Am is in awesome condition with the only issue being a small one and a half inch hairline crack on inside door panel (which replacements could also be purchased on Ebay, however, it more than likely is not significant enough to worry about). The vehicle looks sharp and like new on the outside, very clean and like new on the inside other than the door panel issue. The AC runs ICE COLD, and it runs in excellent condition, does not disappoint. I have the title listed as clear as there is no option for a small loan I used when I purchased vehicle to help me rebuild my credit, but paid most of the car value upfront. So we will need to complete purchase through my credit union. I purchased this car at the beginning of the year, and then lost my job at the beginning of the summer. Though I am not in hardship (SO PLEASE do not try to low ball me as I will hold out for fair value to book value price, I do wish to sell this to offset upcoming moving costs for my new job as I plan on having a home built. I also have three other cars that will need to be relocated long distance and this is the best one to sell. I am not selling this vehicle at a preset auction price, and will not leave the door open for a low ball offer. However, I have set the car at KBB list price, and set listing at for Best Offer as well. This also does not mean low ball offers will be considered. If you can not secure a loan, or can not pay cash, please do NOT contact me expecting me to be a private bank for loan especially when we are strangers and especially if you are a teenager expecting me to provide this service. I am a fair person, but this practice will NOT be considered. I have barely driven this car 1K miles since I have three other vehicles including my 1997 Pontiac Firebird. There are additional pictures available upon request, I can send them to you. If you have any questions or wish to set up a time to view the vehicle in person, feel free to contact me. If you view the vehicle in advance prior to purchase, you will need a drivers license and insurance card. Shipping or car pick up will be your responsibility to pay for and arrange.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
