Original South Carolina car from the upstate with PHS documentation and build sheet from the seat frame. The 389 and powerglide are original and supposedly never out of the car. It has the typical rust issues from being parked outside such as the rear window area, trunk and floor pans, and lower quarters, doors and fenders. The trunk lid frame has rust and a good replacement goes with the car as does a radiator support because the original support was cut to put in a larger radiator. The frame, rockers, and floor supports appear to be in good condition. I bought the car from the 2nd owner last year, whose had it since 1970. Other than putting in the bigger radiator it was driven and parked without ever being modified or repainted, but it has the ralley rims on it that are from a newer model. The motor starts up with no problem and runs smooth but smokes, and there's no brake fluid so the brakes need work. The carb appears original but I'm not sure as it's missing the tag. I have a Pontiac 350 that I'll sell to the high bidder at my cost ($400) if they want it. The car definitely needs restored and it's definitely worth it. I'm selling so I can focus on my other projects.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
