This car is completely stock, with the exception of the 19” VMR rims, Bridgestone pole
position S04 summer tires, and upgraded brakes I bought and added to car. The rims/tires were $2000 (I have
receipt) and I have the original rims. It still drives comfortably and there's excellent grip on the street. The
only other change I made were the brakes, I put slotted and cross drilled rotors with carbon fiber/ceramic brake
pads on the car. It had okay braking before, now it stops very quickly. I have title in hand with NO liens.
When I bought this car I changed/added:

The transmission was replaced with a brand new (not rebuilt!) one at 6,000 miles (2nd gear syncro defect) at Gary
Lang Auto, so it truly only has 33,700 miles. I’ve changed the oil every 1000-2000 miles with only Mobil One
fully synthetic. A couple months ago I put in 15,000 mile Mobil One Fully Synthetic, it has about 500 miles on it.
The A/C runs perfect, car shifts great, clutch works perfectly, and the engine runs excellent. Exhaust is in
great condition. The bottom side of this car looks great. The interior looks brand new. The trunk is in perfect
condition, and under the hood this car looks great. The spare tire (yes full-size spare), Jack, lug wrench are
still in-tact. The new wheels/tires are still in perfect condition with about 500 miles on them. The previous
owner kept it in a garage year-round and drove it 3k miles a year in the summer. This car has been well kept.
I’ve owned it for around 2 years and put 3k miles a year on it. For the past year I’ve only drive it on sunny
summer days on the weekend. When I first bought it, I had to drive it one month in the snow, which of course, I
washed it daily if there was snow on the ground; I had an indoor heated garage with car wash bay, so I could clean
under the wheel wells and power wash the underside. I assure you, no salt/snow has damaged this cars integrity in
the month it was driven in February ‘14. Since I’ve owned it, I stored inside the center of a concrete garage
with the car cover on it, so it never sees dust, let alone the outdoor elements.
This is an adult driven car, the only reason I’m selling this car is my new job doesn’t require I travel
anywhere, so it’s only getting 15 miles a month on it in the spring/summer/fall. It’s waste to just store the
car, this car is in top notch condition and ready to drive cross country or anywhere else for that matter.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Mon, 08 Sep 2014The Pontiac GTO was perhaps the most iconic muscle car of the '60s and early '70s. With its beefy V8 and color palette screaming for attention, it summarized in a single vehicle everything that made the era so appealing to many young people. Pontiac tried to collect just a few drops of that aura again in the 2000s with a revived GTO, but with decidedly mixed results. The performance was still there with its big V8, but the looks never quite lived up to the powertrain. Now, Generation Gap wants to know which of these Goats is the one to own.
Things are skewed immediately because the 2006 GTO here is a real ringer. It comes from famous tuner Ken Lingenfelter's collection, and it's a one-off example partially fettled by GM Performance boasting a twin-turbocharged LS2 V8 with a claimed 750 horsepower and a wide-body kit. This Goat definitely isn't what you're going to find just browsing for one to buy in the newspaper. Still, dip the throttle just a little, and this GTO pulls like a freight train. It's enough to turn the two hosts into giggling schoolboys behind the wheel.
The '69 GTO Judge here is also out of Lingenfelter's collection, but this one is all stock with a 400-cubic-inch (6.6-liter) V8 and a Ram Air hood for a claimed 366 hp. It might not have the unbelievable power of the turbo '06, but it makes up for it with style to spare.
GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns
Thu, 15 May 2014The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.
